Mistoffelees looked around the park, sitting cross legged on the bench, half turned toward the Courthouse and half trying to ignore it. He was still unsure exactly what had happened yesterday, and wondered if the ADA would show up again. It was a strange thought to have. Seeing someone go by, he gave his worn deck a dramatic flourish to no avail.

Coricopat approached the street magician, dropping a few coins into his hat before speaking. "Slow day today?"

Misto glanced at his hat and then back up at the ADA. "Yeah, a little," he said, leaning back against the bench. He was starting to wonder how much longer he would be able to spend his days in the park--it was starting to get cold, and less people were wondering through.

Coricopat watched the other for a long moment. "I have a job for you if you'd like it."

Misto blinked at him. "Yeah," he said. "I would like that." He probably should not agree to things before asking what they were.

And this is why street performers made the best workers. They didn't usually ask before showing interest. Especially in the late autumn. "The new Police Commissioner has been a bit worrisome for my employer. I was hoping you'd be able to keep an eye out for him and let me know who you see him with?"

Misto's eyebrows rose a little at that. "Sure." He glanced over at where he could see the Police Department down the street. "Anyone in particular I should look out for with him?"

Coricopat shrugged. "No, no one specific. If you see him speak to anyone often I'd like to know that, though. And whatever you may be able to find out about him."

"Sure," Misto said, leaning back and shuffling the deck. "I'll be sure to let you know." He vaguely thought he knew the new PC... "What was his name again?"

"Sonya Vlask. Russian descent, upper-crust I think."

"Ah," Misto said. That's why the name sounded familiar--by all accounts Jones probably adored him. Might be something worth looking into, he thought, his uncle and the PC. If he knew his uncle, he would have as many paws in as many pies as possible. "Yeah, I think he's upper crust. Interesting how he ended up in as a police man then..."

"I've heard tell Felidae PD isn't too picky about who they choose." Cori replied wryly.

Misto shook his head. "I just was wondering how furious his parents were about it," he said. "Anyway, doesn't matter. Yeah, I'll keep an eye out for him."

"Perfect. Good luck with your card tricks." He dropped a couple more coins in the hat before turning to go.

"Thanks," Misto said, glancing from the hat to Coricopat. "Good luck with your cases," Misto told the lawyer.
