Sonya did not scowl at him so much as give him an expression a put out kitten might wear. "I wanna be here when he wakes," he insisted again.

Sonya raised his brows, understanding half of what the other cat was saying. "I'm not," he started to protest and shook his head. "I'll be fine. Just need some coffee..."

"You said he might wake up before then," Sonya protested. He could feel himself get more stubborn every minute he remained awake. Damnit. At this point he knew arguing was against his interest and he kept doing it anyway.

"Night," Sonya said and stumbled out of the hospital. The idea of bed was sounding better and better. He would get up early, of course, and the first thing he promised himself to do was check on the officer in the hospital.
