Coricopat stepped out of his red Pacarkd, closing the door and making his way past the valet station, dropping them on the podium with barely a glance at the cat there. "If I find a scratch on that car, I'll take it out of your hide."

Plato swept up the keys without hesitation. His face stoic and expressionless, but his tail gave away an agitated flicker. "Of course," he remarked smoothly as he glanced over Coricopat. "Not a single scratch, sir."

The mottled tom paused at that, turning to arch an eyebrow, "How long have you been working here?"

"Long enough," Plato replied, the keys jingling in his paw as he shifted to walk around the podium. Long enough to recognize the tom's face, anyway.

Coricopat watched him for a moment before shaking his head, turning on his heel, and entering the hotel rather than continue a conversation that produced nothing.

Plato had opened the door and had climbed into the car by the time the other tom had decided to leave. Watching the figure retreating into the hotel, he paused to consider the other for a moment. He might look into this particular regular.
But right then, he had a job to do.
