Eyes flashing open from where they'd shut, Mistoffelees whacked his shoulder lightly. "Yes. Everlasting cat, go, and get back here."

The mottled tom chuckled, kissing him briefly again before going and locking the door, wedging a chair under the handle for good measure. He strolled back over, stopping in front of Mistoffelees and leaning down to kiss him again. He slipped a paw up between them to loosen the other's tie.

Grinning, Mistoffelees pulled him back in. "I miss you. This was supposed to have calmed down by now."

"You're still a novelty. Nothing big has happened to knock you out of the headlines, is the problem," Coricopat responded as he tilted his head down to nuzzle against the younger tom's throat.

Mistoffelees growled even as he tilted his head into the touch. "Something should have happened. This is Felidae after all."

Nipping lightly at a spot he knew would be covered by the other's shirt collar, Coricopat shrugged, "I could talk to Mac about finding some sort of ruckus to cause to distract the press."

"Everlasting cat, would that work at this point?" Mistoffelees asked, rolling his shoulders.

"That would entirely depend on the sort of ruckus. Something that leaves people talking, but doesn't involve murder would be best, probably. The problem with murder is that once the killer is caught, the talk returns to where it was before," Coricopat replied, starting to work at the buttons of Msitoffelees' shirt.

The smaller tom made a face. "Ruckus that's not murder, right. Maybe we could... I don't know. I'd say a charity event would distract them but if I did it it would still be on me. Though, since you haven't asked, the soup kitchen is doing well."

"I should be asking about that more, shouldn't I? Sorry." Coricopat murmured, sounding nowhere near contrite. "And, I think a charity event would just worsen the situation. I'll possibly talk to Mac and see what we can come up with."

"Good," he said and paused. "And maybe not mention to the papers that two of my employees took off in the middle of the night. That was irritating." With a sigh he nuzzled against Coricopat's cheek, both wanting to move faster and trying to draw the moment out longer.

Coricopat's paws traced down the other's sides as he chuckled, "Yes, we will leave that out, no need for them to start asking questions about the causes."

"I shouldn't hire cats with questionable connections, should I?" Mistoffelees sighed, tail wrapping around Coricopat's waist.

The mottled tom slipped a paw under the other's shirt and nipped at his throat, "No, you really probably shouldn't."

Mistoffelees laughed, pulling him closer to kiss him. "I'll keep that under consideration."
