Russell down his drink as the queen beside him giggled. He usually made an effort not to stoop this low, but the girls of the Red Ribbon were the best he could do on short notice.
As the queen pet his arm, though, he was liking this idea less and less. He should have been enjoying himself by now....
"I'll get you another." She said, her eyes batting prettily.
The tortie considered for a long moment but then gave a small nod of his head and off she went. The moment she left, he rubbed a paw over his eyes. What was he doing here? Despite how many times he tried to tell himself he wanted it, he just... didn't.
What he wanted was very reluctant and halfway across the city. It was incredibly frustrating, even more so when he couldn't blow steam his usual way.
He should have known it was a stupid idea, but it had just been so tempting. It was harder once he met him at the cafe and even harder when he stumbled across him leaving the PD. This whole Commissioner deal was starting to get the better of him and he didn't like it, not one bit.
The queen came back with a smile and his glass, but it quickly changed to surprise when she came back to the table to find only the money to pay for the drinks there and no cat.
Russell was already halfway out the door, more frustrated than he was when he had come in. It appeared that he wouldn't be able to take care of this for a long while, but his tail flickered behind him determindly. Eventually he would get what he wanted. He always did when it came to these things, and he refused to let this time be an exception.
He tried not to think about what would happen if it persisted after he managed to get Sonya to agree. He hoped it didn't.
