Rolling his eyes, Martin fell into step beside him. "If we must then. Lead on since this was your idea."

Plato's tail gave one last content flicker behind him as he stepped up to lead just as the clerk suggested. Making his way to the door he placed his hat on the top of his head and slipped into his overcoat; fully prepared for the cold wind of the outdoors, he opened the front door of the Démoniaque and held it just long enough as to not the tom behind him. With a sigh, the Calico retreated into his coat. At least the cinema wasn't too far away from the hotel..... His tail quivered and hugged up close to his right leg as he paused to wait for the spotted tom.

Unable to help a smirk at that, Martin kept pace with the other easily. "You act like you don't like the cold," he drawled.

Plato huffed a little at that, drawing his jacket around tighter. "Is it that obvious?" He asked dryly as they made their way around a street corner. The calico was /so/ glad that the cinema was only a few blocks away; he needed the cold like he needed a hole in the head.

That got a low chuckle out of Martin. "I'm surprised. After all, it's hardly the coldest month anymore. You should have gone down to Florida when it was still booming."

"Cold is still cold," Plato wrinkled his nose. "And I'm not a bird who flies south for the winter. I'm just a chronic complainer."

"I hardly meant just in the summer," Martin returned. "And complaining has never gotten anycat anywhere." Something hard had flickered behind his eyes again.

Plato opened his mouth to add that he didn't mean it like that but he just closed his mouth again. Macavity was right. Didn't he warn him that talking to Martin was like talking to a maze? With a sigh, Plato gave into that one and put up another tally for the grey cat on his mental scoreboard. He walked in silence for a while, his tail passively weaving behind him until they came in sight of the cinema.
Looking up, the calico gave Martin a somewhat friendly nudge on the shoulder. "Let's go see your horror movie and see if we can scare the other cats watching it."

"I believe the idea is to let the film do that," Martin said, leaning away from the other and giving him a long side ways glance.

Plato tried to remember why he had thought this was a good idea in the first place. "It's always fun to add you're own scares in there," He said from expierence. "A tap on the shoulder at the right time is quite amusing." The Valet didn't miss Martin's distancing lean, but his only response was a small flicker of his tail and perhaps a small smirk.

"And if you decide to tap my shoulder at a well placed moment, I will shoot you on principle," Martin returned.

Plato raised his paws up into a defensive position. "Point taken," He said and let his arms fall after a moment. He surpressed another smile as he went to get their tickets for the film.

Eyes narrowed slightly Martin watched the other cat, tail swishing behind him slightly. He really was amused by the other, but more in an annoyed way than anything.

Plato came back with two tickets in his paw a moment later. The calico tom's tail sweeped behind him as he paused to regard the other tom for a moment. It was the only pause since they had gotten out of the hotel, and it was at this time that Plato noticed that the direct sunlight and wind made the older tom seem more... Friendly.
He had to stifle a snort at that thought. Martin? Being friendly? He just couldn't picture it.

Martin arched a brow at him when the other paused to consider him. "Is there a reason you're staring?" he asked, voice low.
