"I hardly think so," Plato said picked up one of the many pens sitting on the desk and began to twirl it over and under his fingers absentmindedly. His eyes went down to look over the other objects on the desk. "If you were I don't think you would be sitting in front of the glass in those doors all day long." He pursed his lips and looked up without moving his head. On any other cat it would almost be begging, but with Plato's blank face it merely appeared thoughtful. "What's it gonna take t'get you out from behind there and out on the town?"

"More money than is in your pocket," Martin replied, looking down again.

"Don't be so bitter," Plato protested and set down the pen. "Just come on out; you might actually enjoy it, god forbid." His voice held a mocking tone that added some flare to his usually dull tone.

"God forbid indeed," Martin agreed, nodding. Even so, he was tempted enough, if only to see what sort of havoc he could wreck on a cinema.

Plato mustered up his pride and was actually able to produce a small pout. "Come on Specks," He encouraged. "I'll even help you torment people."

"You're going to stand there and pester me until I agree, aren't you?" Martin drawled.

Plato gave a small smile and leaned his chin onto his hands. "Pretty much," He confirmed and his tail lazily swirled behind him. "I get off in a little bit, so I have plenty of time to sit here and 'pester' you."

Martin's smile thinned. "You get off for a few hours and then must return. I'm sure you'll want to sit back down before I would care."

"Quite contrary," Oh this was just starting to get fun. "I'm fully prepared to sit right here and pester you for as long as it takes. If I have to go back on work before you agree, then, oh well, there is always tomorrow."

Sighing, Martin rose, closing the date book in front of his and shaking his head slightly. "Your persistence does not do you credit," he added anyway.

Plato smiled a bit at that and stood up straight as well, taking his weight from the desk. "You know you find it charming in a way," He said and picked at his uniform sleeve with one hand.

"Charming is most certainly not the word I would use," Martin returned shortly, leaning back to take his coat from where he left it.

Plato gave a small chuckle, clearly relishing his success. "If I suggusted you waited a moment for me to change out of my uniform, would you? Or would I have to sit here and be persistant and stubborn again?"

Martin nailed him with a long look. "If you are off the clock, do what you like. I'm hardly going to run away, not knowing where you plan on dragging me."

Plato's tail gave a contented whisk behind him as he replied. "I'll be back in just a moment then," He said as he took off for the loft.
True to his word, he was coming back down the loft a few minutes later; he had probably just broken some record for speed dressing himself, but when he stepped off the loft, it didn't looked like he rushed hardly at all. His hair wasn't as neat as normal, but that was to be expected. With a few pats with his paws, his hair was back in place, and he put his cap on top of his head. A faint smile still hanging on his lips, Plato stepped back up to Martin and brushed down the front of his new black vest. "Let's get on with the dragging you out of here part, then."
