Entering the courthouse always made Sonya feel tense. He really should have been used to the long hallways that his shoes clicked down, should have been used to the poor souls being led to what may be their doom, their loss of freedom...
But he really hated the place. He sent plenty of people toward it, but he hated it all the same. Sighing, he looked around again, finally finding the room he was supposed to be in as a witness again.

The ADA opened the door to the courtroom he was headed into, pausing when he saw the Police Commissioner. He paused to wait for the other tom, a smirk curling his lips, "Good morning, sir."

Sonya gave him a long look. "Morning," he replied, dropping the good entirely. "I'm surprised to see you up this early. Did you actually manage to get in an early night with all your demonic activities or do you really just never sleep?"

Coricopat smiled at that, "I simply never sleep. After all, I have to reach the courthouse before the sunlight can touch me."

Sonya gave him a long look. "All cases are quite difficult," he replied, voice low. "Even the ones that appear straightforward. Are you prepared then for this case?"

A scowl broke over Sonya's face. "Issues? I have hardly had issues in the past with testifying. As to my personal issues, well, they are really none of your business now are they?"

"Vampire," Sonya muttered, shaking his head and turning to go into the courtroom, feeling the space between his shoulder blades tensing. "Worry about your own case, not me."
