"I am not sure people really want to hear about murders," he murmured. "At the very least I would rather not."

"Et es the only news they'll listen to, though," He said as he made his way down the seam. "Everything else dulls by comparison. I think the news es aiming to frighten people into reading the paper."

Sonya blinked, ears flickering at that. "I am sure many reporters would feel insulted by such a description," he murmured. "Especially those that think their sections are quite fascinating and have nothing to do with murders."

With a smile, Russell pulled the pants off of the machine and stood. "But neither you or I are reporters, oui?" He said with a raised brow and folded the pants expertly as he walked over to the the other tom. "So neither you nor I are offended by the local's interest en news." He scooped up the jacket as well, folding it to neatly stack on top of the pants before setting them on the desk. He paused a for a moment and went to a rack and pulled down a light blue tie which he promptly added to the pile. "Anything else I can interest you en, monsieur?

"Did I ever agree to not being offended by the local's interest in the news?" Sonya murmured, eyeing the tie and shaking his head rather firmly at it. "After all, if people are interested in something, they tend to want to interfere. Make their own opinions about it and then pester the daylights out of anycat forced to listen."

Russell exchanged the light blue to a quieter shade of blue with grey stripes to match the suit; raising a questioning brow he held up the tie for approval. "Et es en our nature," He added in with a small shrug. "We don't know when to leave vell enough alone."

"I do not need a new tie," Sonya said, shaking his head again. "And I am sure cats are quite capable of leaving things well enough alone, they just do not choose to."

Russell was about to throw out the fact that he was giving it to him, not selling it, but he let it pass. With a shrug he put the tie back up. "I know I am just as guilty of that as anyone else," He said in way of agreement, and began to tidy up the scraps and loose strings around his desk.

Sighing, Sonya finally pulled his wallet out. "How much then?"

After a pause in which Russell considered the cut of the suit he had just made, he named his price. It was a fair price; it wasn't as expensive as some of the uptown places but it wasn't cheap either.

The Police Commissioner considered, almost asking if the other was sure that was the price for being so little. He decided not to comment, merely passing the cash over. "Thank you then."

Russell merely pocketed the cash for the moment, he would put it up in the lock box later. With another smile, Russell picked up the new suit to hand to the other tom. "Thank you, monsieur," He purred out. "Per'aps we can continue to debate the way of the world ovar coffee some time, no?" It was more friendly than an actual offer, but the torite wasn't stupid. A possible friendship with the Commissioner could come in handy one day.

Sonya was more than tempted to simply say no, except as always the word coffee brought him up short. "Perhaps," he said, picking up the suit. "For now, good day."

"Good Day," He repeated and swept himself back into his seat behind his desk. He placed his elbows on the top of the wood and rested his chin on his crosed hands. With a mischievious glint in his eye, he offered one final smile. "'Ave a very good day, indead."

Sonya inclined his head once more, sure he didn't trust the other man before turning and leaving the store with his suit draped over one arm.
((Exit Sonya))
