The Siamese considered the offered paw before clasping it with his brown one, "Here's to a profitable, protected business venture. May it last long and stay strong."

Untill I no longer need you or vice versa. Russell added in his mind as he gave the paw a firm shake, letting his hand linger for a moment longer than necessary before letting it fall.
"May et stay strong," Russell repeated in his heavy accent. "And ef your men can bring the load tonight then I can get your first beneefet to you en a few days."

Genghis smiled thinly and inclined his head, "Of course. They will bring that by tonight. Good afternoon to you, Monsieur." He managed to passably pronounce the French word correctly.

Russell raised a brow at the siamese, but knew better than to be truly surprised. There was a lot about this cat that he didn't know about, and he probably never would know.
"Good Afternoon to you as well, monsieur," Russell returned with a thoughtful look in his eye.

Genghis tipped his hat to the other before sweeping out of the room and from there out of the store itself. He had other business to deal with.

Russell watched the other cat leave quietly. At his disappearance he gave a signal for the store to reopen and resume the business day.
For the rest of the day the tortie cat whistled a tune that he learned from the sailors when he spent time on the ship that took him to the states. It was not an uncommon practice, but it was odd that the tune was about the many riches of Asia.
