Electra leaned against the counter and sighed. So often no one came into the shop when she was working. They got more than enough business to keep going, but sometimes she got so bored on the slow days.
((Open for whoever wants to come in))

((Mind if I throw Teazer in? I figure she maybe doesn't work too far away and it might be fun for her to make a female friend.))
The bell on the shop door clanged violently as the young queen hurried through the door, letting it swing back sharply behind her as she made for the counter.
((what kind of stuff do they sell in this shop, are we talking foodstuff or non-edible goods?))

((I fully approve of them as friends. As for the store, General Good stores were mostly found in rural areas, so they usually needed to stock everything from food to everyday things like combs and toothbrushes, or what-have-you. Since this one is in town though, the owner, Richard, has made it a bit more upper class, so it has some foodstuff, and things like jewelry and clothing or what-have-you. So, basically anything)).
Electra jumped a little at the loud sound. "Can I help you honey?"

Rumpelteazer nodded, "I sure hope so, I need a gallon of milk," she gestured to the waitress's uniform she was wearing by way of explantion, "our usual order didn't come in this morning and we're running short."((probably worth mentioning that Rumpel's got a Georgia accent, not as strong as Mungo's but it's there. I don't have Meadow's talent for writing it though, so I'm mostly leaving it out, but assume it's there. ))

((I have no talent for accents, so no worries there))
"Hm," Electra hummed. "Well, we should have plenty," she said, walking towards the back of the shop where there were several ice boxes. "You sure you just want one gallon or two?"

Rumpelteazer didn't think for long, "I'll take two, oughta be able to carry 'em. The lunch rush'll be starting soon so better safe than sorry."

Electra smiled. "That's always a good plan of action." She handed Rumpleteazer the two jugs, and walked back to the front of the store to ring them up. "So, your place doing well then?"

"Always busy if that's what you mean." Teazer gave the other queen a smile, "Too busy if y'ask me, then again, can't complain about the tips."

Electra grinned at her. "Tips are the only thing that make me regret being a store girl. Ah well, good luck today with your crowds."

"Then again, I bet you've got a solid wage, around half of mine gets made up from tips." Teazer reached for the jugs, straining somewhat as she tested the weight, "You got anything I can cover these with? Don't fancy my chances on Main Street if some idiot knocks into me."

"I might have something over here," she said, handing it over. "Does that work?" She watched as the other lifted the jugs. "And are you sure you can carry that all?"

Teazer nodded, "Looks like it might." She tested lifting the jugs again, "It is a lot of milk," she admitted, "but I'll be fine. How much is that?"

Electra named the price.
((No idea how much milk cost back then. Sorry))

Teazer nodded and handed over the money, "Can I get a reciept for that," she added, "for the accounts?"

"Of course honey," Electra said, working it up.
