Macavity snorted. "I've been sweet talkin' cats since I convinced my first nurse that everythin' was fine. It's natural for me ta stand in society and lie my face off ta the whole lot of them and make them enjoy believein' me. I'm not sure I want her ta have ta do that. But I can hardly let her go and now she's here, so I think she'll deal." As he spoke he rifled through the drawer of his desk, pulling out the cigarettes and lighter.
