"Well, then I have to get the Palace back open but yes, this should be the worst of it," the smaller said, and shook his head. "I never want an inheritance again, alright? This is way too much trouble. On the plus side, I got all the papers and issues worked out with the Commissioner as well, so I won't have to worry about that again, so long as the Palace remains entirely legal."

"Well, at least everything with Vlask is sorted out. And, yes, I see no reason why the Palace should be anything but a legal business. There's no reason for it to return to what it was before," Coricopat picked up what little work he had to do, skimming over it as he spoke.

Cori nodded slightly, "I do. And I'm glad that arrangement will work for you. I'd prefer you not have to deal with it at all, but as you said considering where you are..." He shrugged, "just leave it to me."

Mistoffelees smiled faintly, tilting his head to one side as he considered the other for a moment. "Coricopat," he said finally. "Where are we going anyway?" He almost winced when he heard the question actually aloud, but he'd been wondering for ages.

Coricopat considered the question for a moment, "I...am not entirely sure I have an answer for you. I mean, I...I love you, I just...where do you see us going?" He turned the question back to the younger cat, half-wishing to rescind it.
