"A- a drink would be- would be nice." She said, taking his arm again. Nearly hiding behind him. The music was nice but the sight of other couples on the dancefloor and the appraising glances of a number of cats made her very aware of how short this skirt was.

Glancing back at where she seemed to be shrinking behind him, Misto offered her a grin. "Alright, we can see about drinks then. Anything you'd prefer?" he asked softly, leading her over, considering and choosing the corner of the bar where the least cats were.

Victoria shook her head. "I haven't a clue what's offered. Would- would you, if it's not too much trouble, would you choose?" She hoped he'd get her something that might calm her nerves.

"Alright," he said, and left her a moment to find the bartender, asking for a cocktail for her, and keeping his personal vow, something non-alcoholic for himself. He didn't even care about the odd look he got from the bartender, taking the drinks and quickly returning, handing one to her.

Victoria accepted the glass without hesitation and after a first disastrous attempt at a full drink, was forced to slow down to sips as the force of the liquor held her at bay. Her gaze flickered nervously around the room and back to Mistoffelees, and in doing so she noticed Mr. Zimmerman sitting off to the side.

Cori's gaze had drifted from the band again to focus on Mistoffelees and the young queen. His ears flickered slightly and he turned away when he saw her look in his direction.

Misto noticed where her gaze rested and swallowed slightly, setting his empty glass on the bar and considering hers. "Well, would you care for a dance then?" he asked, holding out a paw.

Victoria set her glass aside and took the offered paw. "Yes, please." Perhaps dancing, which she had practiced for, would help her confidence rise.

Grinning, he led her out onto the dance floor, actually pausing to find the beat rather than sliding into it like usual. Slowly, he started her out on a basic, before the next couple where slightly faster to match the actual beat.

Victoria kept her connective tension well and responded well to his lead. Face to face with Mistoffelees she began to forget the room around her and finally start to enjoy herself. She gave him a tentative smile.

Misto grinned at her in reply, making sure she had the basic down with no issue before leading her through a slow but simple turn.

The trickiest part about working with an unfamiliar step is keeping your footwork going, Victoria slipped but recovered quickly without getting behind. Those practice sessions with the girls were really paying off. Her smile and steps were both gaining in confidence.

Feeling that in the way she moved, his own grin widened and he slowly started introducing other steps, careful to make sure she was getting them as he went. The song ended and he glanced around. "Another dance, or would you like to rest first?"

"Another dance, I'm okay. Please?" She was a little out of breath but not truly winded and she was finally feeling like she knew what she was doing. She just wanted to ride that momentum as long as she could.
