Mistoffelees poked his head around into the living room. "Hey, Coricopat," he said, feeling nervous about the very idea of offering this. "I promised Victoria I'd take her to the Chrysalis. Would you like to come too? I know you like listening to the music and well..." Considering the last few days, he personally thought it would be a good idea to get the mottled tom out of the house.

Cori looked up from the book in his paws, "The Chrysalis? Tonight?"

Misto bit the inside of his lip and nodded. "Yeah, sorry, I sorta forgot the date until a little bit ago. Do you want to come?"

"I really ought to..." Actually, he had nothing else that needed to be done that evening. "That is I.."

"You certainly don't have to," Misto said, though one of his ears flickered slightly. "Just thought you might like something to take your mind off things, and it's been a while since you've gone."

Coricopat sighed, nodding as he set his book aside. "It might be good indeed." He finally rose, "What time are you due there?"

Misto checked the pocket watch he carried around with him still everywhere. "Half an hour to pick her up."

"I'll meet you there?" Cori suggested quietly.

Misto nodded. "Alright," he said. "That sounds great. I'll see you there?" he offered quietly.

Coricopat hesitated before nodding, "Yes, I'll be there."

"Good," the smaller tom said with a grin, and slipped out to go and find Victoria's address.

Coricopat settled back on the couch with a sigh. He picked his book up again, arguing with himself over whether or not he was going. He was going to have to, he'd told Mistoffelees he would. After a few more pages he finally rose, combing his fur and finding his hat and coat before leaving the house.

Meanwhile, Mistoffelees had found Victoria's address, knocking on the door and stepping back slightly, glancing around and considering the neighborhood, fiddling with his tie and the edge of his hat in turns.

Victoria answered the door after a moment. Feeling awkward about the short skirt she held her mother's evening purse in one hand and fiddled with the strap. "Evening Mistoffelees, would you like to come in or -or should we be -we be heading out?"
The dress she wore had been modified from an old gown donated by a family friend, and although they'd managed to shorten the hem and adjust the fit, there really hadn't been much they could do otherwise to fit the fashion. So the dress stubbornly showed off her slim waist and feminine hips. Her new shoes, an old choker of her mother's, a simple sturdy updo and pink lipstick to match the gown finished out her look for the night.

Mistoffelees offered her a grin when he saw her. "You look lovely tonight," he said, holding out a paw. "And yes, we should probably head out. The best music is probably starting soon."
