Philip glanced around the speakeasy, grinning slightly at the sound of the band, and the pretty queen by his side.

Maggie smiled softly back at him, loosely dangling her beaded purse by her side. "Shall we?"

Offering her a grin, he took one of her paws, twirling her around once. "I believe we shall. If you would do me the honor, m'lady?" He said, gesturing to the dancefloor.

Maggie's smile turned playful. "I would love to, sir knight. Lead on!"

He grinned, leading her out onto the dancefloor and considering the beat for a few moments before moving into a rock step to signal the start.

Moving in time, Maggie fairly flew through the dance steps. She'd always been rather light on her feet.

Pleased by that, he lead her through several outside turns, being almost as light on his paws, and somewhat enjoying how well he was sure they were looking.

Maggie lost herself in the dance, enjoying herself immensely. She would sneak glances from time to time at her partner, and wish that the dance would never end.

Philip grinned, and when the music stopped, he dipped her low before leading her over to the bar. "Would you like a drink?" he asked, still grinning broadly.

Maggie pursed her lips for a moment. "I wonder if they have iced tea..."

Philip arched his brows at that and glanced around, waving down a bartender and asking for two iced teas. It got him an odd look but he just grinned through it and the bartender nodded.
"So, where'd you pick that taste up?" Philip asked, associating it with the South.

Maggie hesitated for a moment. "I...was born there. In Georgia. It was my mother's favorite drink and I guess I picked up the taste from her."

Philip nodded, almost gravely except for the grin. "We do tend to pick things up from our parents. It's hardly a bad taste either."

Maggie smiled back, almost predatory. "There are worse things to have a taste for...like certain items on a menu."

"Oh?" he asked, arching a brow. "And which items might those be?"
