The bonus to the day, Clara figured, was finally getting out of the hospital. She was still in pain, but it was mending, and her emotions hadn't come close to settling since she got into the hospital. At least she wouldn't have nearly as much time to think once back on her paws.

Jerrie approached Clara's hospital room, tapping lightly on the door. He checked his watch, she was due out soon. He quietly opened the door. "Clara?"

She turned from where she was standing by the bed, packing the few things that had been brought to her. "Oh, Jerrie, hello," she said.

"Hey...Was wonderin' if I could give y' a lift anywhere?" His paw closed around the carving in his pocket, he was still unsure about giving it to her.

He offered her a bit of a smile, "I've got th' time." He glanced around, glad she was getting out but also wishing he had an assurance of seeing her consistently.

She frowned slightly at the door, but stepped through anyway, weaving her way down the hallways, more than ready to actually be gone. "And how have you been of late then?"

He fell into step beside her, shrugging a bit, "Decent. Work picked up, so that's always good."

He nodded as they reached the front door, and he opened it automatically again, "Yeah, it's goin' well." He paused for a long moment, "You headin' back to work again soonish I guess?"
