Teazer smoothed her skirt for what felt like the umteenth time, hoping that the simple cream one-piece was appropriate for a cinema date. She sighed slightly as her hand automatically went to fiddle with her pearls, before realising she'd still not got around to replacing them. As a result, her neck felt decidedly bare. She'd changed after work and was now sat in the kitchen there, glancing out of the service hatch to see if her was sny sign of him.

Sonya was running a little late, having been mobbed on his way out of the office with a squabble between two officers. Some days he felt less like a police officer and more like a babysitter.
Sighing, he pulled the brim of his hat down further, walking quickly to get to the dinner where he said he would meet her, thinking they still had plenty of time to catch the film showing but he hated being late when he said he would be on time.
Finally, he entered the dinner, looking around.

Teazer drew in a sharp breath as she saw Sonya walk in, suddenly feeling oddly shy. Somehow this was different to the other times he'd come into the cafe, he was there to meet her and she wasn't working. She glanced over herself again, pausing to tug up one of her stockings a little higher and tuck a strand of hair back off her face, before taking a deep breath and walking out into the dining area.

After a moment of looking around his eyes settled back on her, and he offered her a quiet smile. "Hello," he said, paused, and held out one arm if she would like to take it. "How are you doing today?"

Teazer's eyes lit up a little as she smiled, ever so slightly pink underneath her fur, though with excitement as well as nerves. Transferring her purse to the other hand, she accepted the arm, "Hello," she murmured back, "I'm doin' good." she glanced towards the door, keen to be out of the cafe she spent far too much time in, "What about you?"

"A great deal better," he replied, "Now." He smiled down at her, leading her from the cafe. "It is good to see you, and you look well."

He shrugged the shoulder that was on the far side from her. "About the same as usual. Busy, kept up late at night and the like. It almost seems as if things have calmed down a little this week though, which is a good chance of pace." He smiled down at her. "As is this."

She gave a little nod, "I'm glad t'hear it." Teazer couldn't help herself, she squeezed his arm just a little; a small sign of affection. "This feels odd," she admitted, "but not in any bad way. Jus' diff'rent."

Pausing, he nodded and smiled down at her. "Different but good is good. It is certainly a nice change... oftentimes changes are such bad things."

Another nod, "I won't deny this one's a little scary." she admitted, "But I want t'try. Seems like it might be worth it."

He smiled down at her, his smile a great deal brighter than usual. "I hope it will be," he replied softly.

The light in his expression was encouraging and she felt her heartbeat quicken just the tiniest bit at the smile. She inclined her head at him, "Cinema?"

He nodded. "Yes, the cinema. A new movie came out recently that I thought might suite?"

"Oh?" Teazer's curiosity was piqued now, wondering what kind of film he thought she might enjoy.
