"Oh.." she nodded in realisation, "I see now." her ears flicked back just a little though, "Better Jer than my father, he's bin' outta' the picture since I was four. But I dunno," she added, "mebbe' I should talk to him first, but after that, well he might appreciate the gesture I guess."

She nodded, "I will do, better sooner than later." she walked on in silence for a while, though this time, at least, it felt more companionable than awkward.

She turned to face him, nodding as she did so, "I'll get the next bus home before Jer starts worryin' that I'm late. See if I can't talk t'him tonight." she offered Sonya a small smile, "Don't be a stranger, yeah?"

"Of course not," he murmured, taking her paw for a moment and offering her a smile before letting it go again. He tipped his hat, and with a quiet "Good night," turned and headed back to the station.

She smiled "Yeah, goodnight." Teazer stood and watched him leave for a moment before turning and hurrying to the bus stop, it was almost completely dark now.
