For the second time in as many days, Taradan found himself stood in Coricopat Zimmerman's office at the Demoniaque. He squared his shoulders a little as he delievered his brother's reply.
"He said no."

Cori blinked at him for a long moment. "Come again?"

"Y'told me t'ask Ricky if he'd consider meetin' with you." Taradan explained simply, trying his best to sound neutural and hoping it didn't come across as defiant, or worse, patronising, "He refused."

Taradan nodded slowly "He's a smart kit." he said finally, still not entirely believing what he was hearing and as a result, rather missing the dismissal.

Coricopat looked up again from the paperwork he'd turned back to. "Logan. Dismissed. Or have you gone deaf?"

Taradan shook his head, the second dismissal processing properly. "Sorry, no, I, uh, was still thinkin' over what you'd said see?" he turned to go before Coricopat changed his mind. "Good evenin'."
((Exit Taradan))

Cori narrowed his eyes at the door. He really hated repeating himself.
