Coricopat sat down at his desk, withdrawing his nailfile and setting to work on his claws. He was suppoed to be speaking with one of the lower henches this evening and then he was seriously considering taking the rest of the night off. He'd already dealt with the local information and once this was finished he could quite contentedly do as he pleased. This had best not take too long...

Taradan checked himself over briefly, ensuring he looked respectable and his suit was tidy before he knocked on the office door. He had been given no reason to suppose this was bad news, but being called to the office of the cat, who was effectively second only to the boss man here, was a legitiamate cause for being nervous, he decided. Still, better just to show willing and see what was wanted before he jumped to any conclusions, and he managed a confident posture as he waited for his knock to be answered.

Coricopat stopped the motion of the nailfile to turn to some papers on his desk and double check a couple things. "Enter."

Taradan pushed the door open lightly, entering the room and closing it behind him before he turned to the tomcat behind the desk, not sure if he was relieved or more worried to find Coricopat most definitely the only occupant of the room. Then again, he didn't know what else he'd really been expecting.
"You wanted to see me?"

The mottled tom motioned to the chair on the other side of the desk, returning his attention to his claws again. "Yes, there's been some interesting things in the papers over the last day or two regarding your last assignment."

Taradan crossed the room and sat down in the indicated chair, though Coricopat's words did nothing to set him at ease. He nodded though, "I read it myself, though best I can see, beggin' your pardon, but it ain't nothin' we did." he'd chalked that one down as misson sucessful, it wasn't his fault Felidae PD had decided to go poking their noses in at he scene.

"It's more what you didn't do. They've been able to locate and identify the body. There's a chance that it can be traced back to us and we wouldn't want that, hm?" His grey eyes flickered up from his claws for a brief moment.

"We didn't 'ave much of a choice," Taradan protested, though he kept his tone respectful, "they heard the gunshots an' there'd 'ave bin' more bodies on that sidewalk if we didn't leave when we did."

"At least then they wouldn't be able to tell who the original target was." Came the cold reply.

Taradan felt a chill go down his spine at Coricopat's words, and his feeling was probably not misplaced. He did what any cat in his position probably would have done and attempted to pass the buck, though his words were true enough, he wasn't stupid enough to lie to Coricopat.
"We didn't 'ave any instructions on what t'do with the body. If we ain't told, useually there's a cleanup team, else the body's left for a reason." Taradan shurgged, "I don't qustion what I'm told t'do, I just get on with it."
He sounded a lot calmer than he felt. Surely Coricopat had no purpose telling him this if it didn't mean there were going to be concequences?

"Leaving the body is one thing. Leaving identification with it to make the police department's job easier is another." Coricopat replied, putting the nail file back in his pocket as he looked over the papers in front of him, changing the subject. "How's your family?"

Well he had Taradan on that one, "Like I said," the tabby repeated, "we was pushed f'time."
He shifted even more uncomfortably in his seat when the mottled tom changed the topic to his family, the connection or seeming lack of it, between the two subjects making him uneasy.
"They're fine, far as I know."

"I hear tell that your younger brother's been seen around The Palace. Any idea why?"

Taradan frowned, "Which brother? I got four of 'em, all younger."

"The youngest, Orron I believe?"
