Raising a brow at her retreating form, Misto's ear flickered. Honestly, yeah it was awkward but he had sat through far worse meals. It had hardly been that bad, he thought, glancing at Jerrie and down again. "Anything else we have to talk about?" he asked softly. "Or should I just wash the dishes?"

Jerrie shrugged, shaking his head. "Not that I can think of. I'm still processin' is all."

Misto nodded, sighing as he glanced toward the living room. All he really wanted to do was sleep and she was in there eating, having effectively blocked them from the room for the time being. "Alright," he said softly, giving up and rising to at least wash his dishes and the pan.

Jerrie finished his meal, setting his dish by the sink and slipping out quietly, heading down to the basement.

Misto sighed again, taking those dishes and washing them as well, hoping Teazer would finish soon so he could curl up on his damn couch and try to sleep.

Teazer had finished her food a little while ago, but she was half hoping the two might talk things out if she left them alone. However, the sound of her brother's shoes on the basement stairs suggested otherwise, and sighing, she brought her emply plate and glass back into the kitchen.

Letting out a small sigh of relief when he saw her, Misto was almost done with the dishes, and held out a paw for hers. "Here, I'm already doing the others so I can do those."

Teazer shook her head at him, "It's fine, I can' finish up here. I guess you and Jer didn't want pie?"

He blinked, having completely forgotten that. "I guess not," he said softly, still at the sink, about ready to protest he could just do it with the rest before shrugging and taking a step back, drying his paws off.

Teazer was somewhat glad when Mistoffelees relented. She knew he was only trying to be helpful, but she didn't like having he toes stepped on with regards to what she useually did around the house either. Though safe to say it was the tension between the two toms that was bothering her more at present.
"Thanks f'your help." she managed at least, as she turned to take over from him.

Misto swallowed, not wanting to say that it was Jerrie's to sort, not his, and it was hardly anything they could actually discuss. Either it worked out and Jerrie could stand to talk to him again or... it wouldn't. Whichever way it ended up being, he needed to find someplace else to stay, and quickly.
"Good night then," he mumbled, and slipped back into the living room, pulling the blankets up around the couch. Apparently he still hated himself through, since he pulled out the House of Seven Gables again, reading it until he could settle down enough to sleep.

Teazer sighed but nodded, "Goodnight." she went back to the washing up. Cat she hoped this was nothing too serious, or things were going to get very uncomfotable around here very fast.
