Teazer nodded, "A relaxin' mornin' can be good. But I'm on the breakfast shift more of'en that not because I don't do the late shifts."

He glanced over at her at they approached the cafe he had chosen. "Oh? Why don't you?"

"Well they don't finish til about midnight," Teazer explained, "an' it don't matter what I say, my brother doesn't like me comin' home that late alone." she bit her lip, "That's why I only go out of an evenin' if he's workin' late, so he don't know about it. I can take care of myself jus' fine, but he worries about me, y'know? It's easier not t'tell him than t'argue about it."

"Ah yes," he said. "Which is why he also does not know you go to clubs, yes? Though, he could hardly complain about you going out for lunch."

Teazer nodded a reply to the first question, however she felt her fur prickle as the second question, "I never said he would." she responded, feeling the need to defend her brother, mostly because, of course, she hadn't told him about today. Even if Jerrie wouldn't want to know where she'd met Martin, which she was sure he would, she couldn't imagine him approving much more of her going to lunch with a strange tom regardless.

Martin shrugged. "You're right, you didn't," he replied, opening the door for her to the smallish cafe.

She sighed, stepping through the door he was holding for her, "Sorry, he does what he does because he cares about me, y'know. An' whatever he does, he's still my brother."

He nodded, taking note of the loyalty she seemed to be displaying. "Of course. Do you have a preference for where you would like to sit?"

She laughed slightly, "It's normally me askin' that t'customers. I guess near the window if there's a table free, I like watchin' the world go by. But I really don't mind."

He took that information in, nodding and finding a window table. He motioned the waitress on duty over, glancing over at the queen across from him.

She took her seat, offering him a smile across the table. Teazer was starting to relax more than she had in the club, or else was just ignoring any feeling that there was something... off, about Martin.

Marin glanced over the menu he was handed, glancing back up at her moments later, offering a bit of a smile in return. "Any ideas what you might want?"

Teazer considered the menu for a moment at his question, before naming her order fairly decisively. "What about you?"

He glanced down again and then shrugged slightly. "Perhaps a salad," he replied, glancing around for the waitress again.

((hehe, he'd better be nice to the waitress))
Teazer nodded, "Fair enough." He didn't seem the most talkative of cats, she hoped the conversation once they'd ordered wouldn't be this forced.
