Hello newbies! We're very happy whenever some of you show up.
Just some general things for getting around the board:
*There are two time lines, every thread on them is linked, in case you want to look at anything that's come before, or you can go through by location.
*We do ask that before you start playing, you look through the character applications since that gives you an idea of who is around and who your character can interact with. Also, if you're interested in one specific character, you can check out the character timeline, rather than going through every thread to figure out what's going on with them.
*Color coding your characters is rather useful, and if you look through any threads, you'll see it's pretty prevalent. For colors, either chose from the drop down menu, or the code is without the space, and the color of your choice in it, followed of course by also without the space.
HERE is a useful chart for different colors.
Also, links are just as easy to put in, being
*One request is to put all your characters in the signature and color code and link them to their profiles. That way, in the middle of a game if another player wants to look something up about your character, they can just click right there. Signatures are able to be codded. However, since links tend to be rather long and there's a character limit, sites like tinyurl are very useful.
*Also, speaking of time lines, please, when you start playing with a character, go to the character timeline and make a post with your character names. The staff will fill in the timelines, but we prefer the player to put up their own characters.
*ALSO! When it comes to starting threads you can either start one marked [Open] or PM members with possible ideas. But be aware that quite a few members have a lot of characters (Some of us are juggling eight) so it's going to be up to you to approach members with ideas, though members will approach you as well. But be pro-active! And, don't enter a thread without permission as a courtesy.
Welcome to Felidae, we hope you enjoy your stay.
