Name: Miranda Beatrice Michaelson
Aliases: Mimi, Ms. Michaelson
Age: 25
Build: Mimi’s of average height and weight, with a relatively shapely build. She’s got too much shape to fit in the “flapper” style, but just a bit too little to qualify for a “Mae West” look.
Origin: Mimi’s originally from New York City. She moved to Felidae about two years ago, though the question of why is something she evades or gives a different answer for each time.
Occupation: She lives off of the money and businesses left by her late husband. He owned a string of hotels and apartment buildings all over New England.
Eyes: Dark Blue
Hair: Her moderately dark red headfur is worn almost always in a crimped bob—whether at work or play.
Scars: Her left arm doesn’t hang quite straight from where it was broken during her previous marriage.
Fur/Markings: Mimi’s short fur has dark red tabby markings with white on her paws and chest. The background for the dark red stripes is a paler red which fades into the white in the aforementioned places.
Attire: When stuck in meetings (which happens far more often than she would like) Mimi is found in a dark blue skirt suit with off-white blouses to accent the white of her fur. Her daytime attire is a v-necked, light colored dress in a blue or green, hemmed just below the knee. Her clothing for a night on the town is a dark taffeta gown with an uneven hemline (This in dark blue with a green lining or black with a blue lining).
Accessories: Mimi wears a single gold band with a small solitaire set in it on her right ring finger as a reminder of where naïve belief in love can lead.
WOC: She carries a small handgun in her purse for protection.
Appearance: Mimi is one of those gals who doesn’t really fit any specific style because she tends toward such an average look, even the shapeliness of her build seems to neutralize itself. She keeps her hair styled in such a way as to draw attention to her face, which she considers to be her best features. She utilizes the uneven hemlines of her dresses and the style of heels she’s able to find to accent the shape of her legs, taking advantage of the fact that she has a feminine build, even if it is understated.
Personality: Mimi is the sort of queen to go out every night and sleep til noon the next day…or not sleep til noon depending on the company she’s keeping that night. She’s got an outlook on life that says “my luck’s held out this far, might as well take advantage of that as long as I can.” This tends to drive Lou Page (who has taken on a bit of an older brother/protector role to her) up the wall.
She’s cynical, but if being a businessman’s wife for four years has taught her anything (besides that she will never let herself do that again) it’s that a mask for the public means everything. She would much prefer not to have others see exactly what she’s thinking, but she has moments of honesty that include scathing remarks and bitter reflections.
Special skills: Mimi, although she tends to be written off due to her being a woman in a “man’s world,” is very good at business. She can see how a deal will benefit her and how best to make it so the other side benefits as well.
Weaknesses: In a business sense her aforementioned skill tends to be negated by the facts that a: she’s a woman and b: she can’t always find the proper words to form the things she needs to say. Otherwise, well she’s always got a bit of a weakness for a handsome tom. Yes she considers this a weakness, but only if it goes too far.
Fears: Finding herself trapped in a relationship like her last one, being defenseless, betrayal.
Likes: A little gin, a romantic night, a handsome tom
Dislikes: Said handsome tom trying to pursue her too far (any mention of going steady is a bad idea), the business not doing well.
History: Mimi was raised in a fairly well-to-do household, she was primarily raised by her governesses, but held some affection for her parents (or at the very least respect for their opinions). When she was 17 she met and fell for a man 5 years her senior by the name of Carson Peirce.
She married him when she turned 19, with her parents’ blessing, but once married found out he was not what he appeared to be. He would often come home from work and take the frustrations of the day out on his young wife. Mimi covered it well and was careful to hide it from those around her.
When her husband of four years was found shot in a back alley (some say it had ties to the underworld and that perhaps he wasn’t as upright a businessman as everyone wanted to believe) she appeared neither shocked nor bereft. Although her family and the police believed her to be innocent of involvement, the gossip surrounding Carson’s death caused her to leave the city. She moved to Felidae where she knew he had holdings and she now lives off of the profits made from the aspects of his businesses she kept in her name.
Love Interest: Love just hurts you. She hasn’t got anything more than short-term relationships that are lucky to last more than a couple nights.
Quotes: "To the lies we're told and the ones we tell, may others take them as truth."
Theme Song: Façade ~ Jekyll & Hyde, Masquerade ~ Phantom of the Opera
