((My bad, I didn't make that clear enough, she's left the room...or is he mumbling to himself?))

((You didn't make that clear and he was certainly not done talking to her, so if he saw her leaving, he would yell at her to plant her paws and listen or she wouldn't be getting any money from him)).

((Ah, cause I mentioned her taking a step outside to cool down before most of the internal musings. Sorry...))

((Ah, k...sorry about that. I guess I just suck in general today.))
Bombalurina had to force back her flaring temper, guilty that somepart of her shouldn't feel guilty for defending herself; after all, she'd had enough practice. Yes, it was all well and good he worked 8 years and got somewhere - she'd worked her whole life and had nothing but a backlog of bills and broken ego to show for it.....But she needed his money, no matter how much she had to grovel for it. Hell, as much as it robbed of her dignity, she'd probably agree to a title as the office floozy just so she could be sure she could still sleep in that hole of an apartment of hers.
"Yes, sir." She conceded to defeat, gritting her back teeth almost painfully as she bit back a fiery opposition, her head telling her heart to back down from all his points. Cat, she'd degraded herself already in front of him. It wasn't as if she didn't hear his points, but by Heavyside it just wasn't fair she always seemed to lose in this sense. "I'll see you tomorrow, sir." Bombalurina's ears laced back, her tail indicative of her forced submission, a self-calming purr tainting her tone lightly. Her stomach flipped dangerously as she tilted her head toward the floor, her claws digging into the pads of her paws harshly.
As if her day couldn't already have been worse.

((It's quite alright... it was quite a huge body of text and I wasn't sure if she left, though I thought she might have, but either way Philip was not done talking yet... so, eh, it works out.))
Philip looked her over again and sighed. "Don't 'yes, sir,' me, just... I'm serious, I don't want a damn doormat, or someone to pick up after me, but I don't want the level of sass I've been getting either, alright? You work for me, but also with me." His ear flickered. "I'll see you tomorrow then."

((Yeah, I don't blame him. Poor Phil, you have no idea who you just hired. Its one way or the other with Bombi...she's just one of those queens I guess lol, though I probably should apologise in advance, I never quite know myself how she's going to react. She's one of two very emotional characters I actually have, here and elsewhere so...her head doesn't always have a solid grip on her psyche.))
Bombalurina nodded, her mind turning gently. He didn't want a doormat? Well, too bad - He was going to damn well get one now that he'd dressed her down, and after a day like this, he made it clear he wasn't going to accept anymore. She supposed, she wasn't here to make friends, and despite his seemingly peaceful offer, she wasn't going to half-roll belly up in defeat. In her experience, you either did or you didn't, and when she needed her rent payed as badly as she did, you were defeated whether you wanted to be or not. The tip of her tail twitched, disheartened greatly - wasn't this job supposed to be reassuring in that she could have some security? - her expression falling, but quickly masked under an undeterminable gaze. She would see him tomorrow, despite the screaming and hollering of her pride, her nod curt, though seemingly hurt in the same notion. Bombalurina walked the rest of the way out silently, avoiding the gazes of those around her, eager just to get home and curl up in bed.

Philip watched her a moment longer before turning and returning to his office, closing the door behind him to make some phone calls. He still had a lot of work to get done that day, and he figured the next morning was going to be enough of a roller coaster.
