Taradan looked at his brother for a moment before getting to his feet and crossing over to stand behind Ricky's chair, he ruffled the kit's headfur affectionately and put one paw on his shoulder, giving it a squeeze. "You okay kid?"

The younger cat shrugged a bit, half in answer and half to rid himself of the paw on his shoulder. "Yeah, sure, I'm only gonna be informin' on one a th' biggest players in town. Why wouldn' I be?"

Taradan sighed, moving his paw and leaning against the back of the chair instead, "It's not like you got to try an' find out more than he tells you. Just what y'know from what you see an' hear."

Taradan sighed again, he didn't like this any more than Ricky did, but he couldn't see another way out. He wished there was something he could say to the kit.

Taradan didn't have much he could say to that either, he'd tried to warn Ricky before, but he knew the kit didn't need reminding.
He frowned as his brother addressed him. "Yeah?"

Taradan was somewhat taken aback at that, his little brother warning him. "Let me worry about him, an' you just make sure you keep yourself outta' any more trouble than y'can help. I'll take care of myself."

Taradan nodded, "I reckon so, I'll pop in here a bit more though. Less suspicious that way." a pause, his tail twitched as he considered what he was about to say, well no time like the present he supposed, "Speakin' of, I don't like t'press y'so soon, but Zimmerman's gonna want some proof that I'm doin' what he asked. Anythin' you might already be able t'tell me about what Jones is up't?
