Macavity leaned back in his chair, feet on the desk and smoking a cigarette. He had slept for a couple hours in the morning, and had thus gotten much of the paperwork he needed done. In fact, due to the gunshot over the last few days he had caught up entirely on all his paperwork.
He was bored out of his skull.
On the plus side, negotiations and arrangements for New Years were picking up, so that at least meant he would have something to do again.

Tugger walked the way the tom on the front desk had pointed him, this place was huge. In an odd sort of way it seemed difficult to fathom that Macavity, his older brother, actually owned it. Tugger might have felt a twinge of discomfort when he compared this place to his and Munkustrap's lifestyle, but he would have been too proud to accept anything offered by Macavity anyway, not to mention, he still hadn't quite gotten over the shock of the body at the docks, from that point of view he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to know how his brother had been able to afford this place originally.

Mac heard someone approaching, and yelled out for them to come in, not moving much from his original position.

Well that was his brother's voice all right, it seemed like Tugger was going the right way at least. He pushed the door to the room Macavity's voice had filtered from, and poked his head around it, feeling just a little intimidated by his surroundings. "Mac?"

Mac's eyebrows rose and he pushed himself up into a normal sitting position. "Hey there Tug," he said.

Tugger came properly into the room, shutting the door behind him. He took in his brother behind the desk, and approached it glancing about him as he did so. He'd never admit it, but he felt somewhat intimidated. "This is some place you got here."

Mac grinned, showing his teeth slightly. "That it is. Can give you a tour if you got time even."

Tugger rubbed the back of his neck, still rather unsure of himself, "I guess I've got time, won't head to Milady's til around lunchtime." in all honesty he was rather more interested in getting to see his older brother properly at long last than having a tour of this building, he couldn't place it, but it made him feel uncomfortable.

Mac was still grinning, though a bit differently. "Maybe before you leave then. I think you said you wanted ta talk more than anythin' else. Have a seat why don't you?"

"Well after always runnin' into you during, uh, situations, I thought havin' a chance t'talk without gettin' interrupred might be an idea." Tugger was uncomfortable and that was making him edgy, he sat down in the chair opposite the desk, hating how formal it felt.

Mac's brow quirked, noticing the other looking uncomfortable. "Everythin' alright?"

"Yeah, I just..." Tugger shifted a little, "You not got anywhere we can talk that feels less like bein called to the principal's office at school?"

Mac's eyebrows rose again but he chuckled. "Sure, I think. Could head up ta the penthouse." He picked up the phone, briefly dialing down to Martin to let the other know he wasn't going to be in his office for the time being. "Won't go for the grand tour, but if we're goin' up, you can see some more of the hotel," he said, raising.

Tugger wasted no time in standing up again, "Sounds like a plan." he agreed, though it was safe to say, showing Tugger too much of the hotel would not be the fastest way to get him to relax, he was miles out of his comfort zone already.

Mac's eyebrows were still somewhere closer to his hairline than usual, but he rose as well, leading the way out the door. "Anythin' you want ta see?"
