Hi guys, here's the character application form that needs to be filled out and posted in the 'Apply for your Character' section.
Application form without the notes and with the code is in the following post.
Name: (Does your character have a Jellicle type of name or the sort of name you’d hear every day on the street? Please include a first and last (Meadowlark am willing to help with naming Canons for their last names if you need help). If you have a particular heritage in mind (Please try to have some knowledge of said heritage): www.gaminggeeks.org/Resources/KateMonk/ 1900’s Baby Names: www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/decades/names1900s.html (Other decades available).)
Aliases: (Does your character have any nicknames or Names given to him/her thathe doesn’t like but that are there?)
Age: (Keep in mind the sort of age you’ll be able to play well. Really young characters tend to be a bit difficult to use, but older characters (like 10/12-100) can make for interesting RP. Regardless, stick with what you think you can handle.)
Build: (Be as specific with height and weight as you like, it helps other RPers to know how their characters measure up. If you need help with height and weight this is a good resource: www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ Keep in mind that body types should reflect the character as well. Not every tom is going to be all muscle, and not every queen is going to be perfectly proportioned)
Origin: (Are they from Felidae? Are they from the US? If not, look into information on your character’s home country to find out what’s going on during the early 1900s)
Occupation: (Not everyone’s going to have an exciting job. We may see waitresses/waiters, housewives, office workers, fishermen, etc. Not everycat has to be directly involved with the underworld. Some might just be coming to get a drink at the speakeasies.)
Eyes: (try to keep this logical: Blue, Green, Brown, Hazel, etc. If it seems like a human being would have the eye color without the aid of contacts it’s alright for your Jellicle character)
Hair: (Try to keep the hairstyle like what would have been worn in the 20s. Women wore long hair, but the bob was popular. Men tended to wear their hair slicked back, usually a little longer in the front than in the back so that it would lay right)
Scars: (Does your character have any scars. Try to keep these reasonable—Maybe they had an accident as a kid and have a scar from falling off their bike, maybe they served in the Great War (WW1) and ended up with scars from that. If you’re not sure it’s reasonable, PM Meadowlark (Username: admin) or Victoriousscarf and we’ll see if we can make it so)
Fur/Markings:
Attire: (If you want to use pictures please just include a link. Google tends to have great pictures for 1920s clothing, early 1930s is permissible, but try to remain in those eras—Message Meadowlark (user: admin) if you have difficulty)
Accessories: (Does your character have jewelry with particular significance? A cigarette case? A pocket watch? This is the place to let us know)
WOC: (If your character is a pacifist or young they likely won’t have one, except their claws, fists, and teeth, if they’re involved in a gang they will probably carry some sort of gun. Nothing that would leave a super spy drooling though, let’s try to stick to period weapons. If your character served in WW1 he might still carry his service weapon, another character might have a switchblade, or even just a very hefty purse.—Message Meadowlark (user: admin) for information on this)
Appearance: (Let us know what your character looks like, use full sentences and let us in on the things you haven’t told us about, or tie everything above in together. If you want to include pictures (Unless you drew it or have permission from the artist/photographer) please just include a link)
Personality: (Make sure the personality is something you can play. All characters have flaws, what’s yours?)
Special skills: (This can be something as simple as “Strong as an ox” to “Bakes the best cakes you’ve ever had”)
Weaknesses: (Can be simple, or complex, just make sure it’s viable for an interesting RP)
Fears: (Everyone has them, and if they don’t they tend toward being reckless so keep that in mind. Can be anything. Perhaps they’re afraid of losing someone they love, or they’re scared of people in costumes, or snakes)
Likes:
Dislikes:
History: (Make this thorough, but a rule of thumb is that unless it’s chock full of information that applies to your character, and is crucial that other RPers know, try to keep it under 3 paragraphs. This is a good place to put in the family information for your character.)
Love Interest: (Do they have one? This tends to be subject to change as the RP progresses, you could put any children in here.)
Quotes: (Does you character have anything they say a lot? This also tends to come with more RP)
Theme Song: (Optional, but kinda fun)
Code:
