Taradan did shake Ricky this time, "I'll bleedin' give you a reason t'worry if you don't wise up an' stop thinkin' you're bein' so smart ignorin' everythin' I'm tellin' you." without his realising, his voice had risen as well.

Martin was leaning against the car, his legs crossed in front of him and his ears flickering. This was truly a fascinating conversation. He wondered if there was anything he'd be able to do with it. And now that their voices where raised, he could fish for more information as it would be obvious that he heard some of it.

"Better t'quit now before y'get yourself in deeper!" Taradan retorted, not releasing his grip on his brother, fingers digging in, though he kept his claws retracted. Another growl was rising in his throat.

Ricky growled, grimacing at the tightened grip. "I'm in it now, ain't like he don't know who I am."

"Oh?" Taradan did his best to control his anger in the face of getting an answer, "an' just how much does he know? You tell him your real name?"

"Then bleedin' well quit both an make yourself scarse if y'have to. I can find you a new job, but open your ears an' get this into your thick head, this ain't no game!" Taradan was shaking the kit again, though he released him at the end. "You're disposeable to that boss of yours," he said shortly, "y'think he cares that you got family?"

Ricky snarled, getting out of his brother's reach as he replied. "Oh, an' I suppose yours does?"

"I doubt it," Taradan replied, finally remembering to drop his voice again, "until they start workin' f'his rival. Y'think I was havin' a joke when I told you they'd use you against me?!"

Another growl of frustration, "Yjust don't get it do you kid!" Taradan scoweld at Ricky, "Beat it, now, because the next time I catch y'doin' anythin' like this, I won't be so lenient. I meant what I said before, you're askin' f'a real beatin' the way you're carryin' on."

Taradan growled, "Then you got t'the same time t'get yourself out of this before I hafta' teach you a lesson." he called back, before turning on his heel and striding back to the car. He got into the driver's seat wordlessly, slamming the door behind him and starting the engine.
"Where next?"

Martin saw Taradan coming toward the car in a high fury and slipped into the passenger seat. "Just one more stop at the... florist's," he said, voice full of disgust at the idea. "Need some arrangements for the tables apparently." At least the flowers Macavity demanded were slightly tasteful. "After that I would appreciate returning to the hotel." He leaned back against the seat, considering the conversation he had heard. He toyed with the idea of asking Taradan about it, but figured he would be better served by digging into it himself on his own.
