Electra shrugged a little. "It's like any other big city, if not a bit worse. You have your good parts and... some really terrible ones. But it's where I live, so there's no point in crying over it. How about you? How long have you been here?"

She quirked her brows at that, and considered him. "It depends. There's a jazz club I really like to go to in the evenings, and I tend to cook a lot. I have a deep seated need to make sure people are fed," she said, smiling at him. "I like reading the newspaper and looking through catalogs. How about you? Do you ever not work?"

"I try to avoid not working. When I do a newspaper or a long walk are usually what I prefer." Since the first keeps me in touch with the outside world and the second gets me out of the house

She nodded at that, crossing her legs under the table, her tail curling around the back of the chair. "You should probably try and relax sometimes though," she said. "Maybe even do something different."

"Well, something not work. Something like this even. Just taking a break and having a cup of coffee. Working all the time isn't good for you, honey," she said, giving him a quick grin.
