Name: Macavity Hollister
Aliases: Mac (Though there's maybe four people who could call him that and walk away), Macavity the Mystery Cat, The Napoleon of Crime, The Boss, The Demon, the Hidden Paw. The most shocking has lately been "daddy."
Age: 33
Build: He's tall, lithe and lanky. He probably stands at somewhere around 6'2''. His frame is all muscle. His furs is usually unkempt, and it does give him the appearance of being bigger and bolder then he is. That being said, he walks with feline grace, and moves both quickly and quietly.
Origin: He grew up in the broken remains of his suburban Felidae home. His mother, Grizabella, left when he was around seven, and he then shared a house with his father Deuteronomy and brothers Munkustrap and Rum Tum Tugger.
Occupation: Most believe him to just own a hotel in Uptown Felidae. However, he basically runs a half of Felidae's underworld.
Eyes: He has golden brown eyes. When he turns his full stare on people though, they tend to either become uncomfortable, or downright terrified.
Hair: Generally, his unruly mix of black and ginger head fur is slicked back to match his equally slick public persona. Though, its length causes the ends to flick back some past his ears, and often gives a tousled wave as it fights against the gel.
Scars: The worst would be on his knuckles and on his ribs from where they had been broken and pierced the skin. Also, he has had his collarbone reset a couple of times.
Fur/Markings: He’s a ginger cat, his fur long, wiry and unruly, with black serpentine tabby lines running from his cheeks and head all the way down his spine. He is a terrifyingly handsome and unusually marked tom.
Attire: For the most part, he dresses well, wearing dark colored suits in black, navy and sometimes grey. Occasionally there are even pinstripes. He, is always wearing patent leather shoes, but will sometimes ditch his suit jacket, and walk around in his shirt sleeves and his suspenders.
Accessories: He’s a smoker, and he carries around a rather thick silver lighter as well as a silver cigarette case.
WOC: He's a skilled marksman but can also use daggers and a straight razor as effective weapons. While in his youth he preferred the straight razor lately he's been leaning more on long distance weapons after Brachen Myre came back through town.
Appearance: Macavity, despite the threatening, violent, and overall predatory look he seems to give off, is a pretty good looking chap. His yellow eyes really do look deep and hypnotic against his mottled mix of black, blood and scarlet red, and slightly orange hued fur. His build seems to melt into his personality, and makes his entire physique scream of authority and power.
Personality: Macavity does have rather erratic and dangerous mood swings, and these tend toward sheer rage. This is because he probably has at least some form of undiagnosed bipolar disorder, where he has almost manic periods of plotting and scheming, and other times when all he really wants of the world is to see it burn itself to ash. His "depressed" moods turn out more like anger than depression, and he rarely sleeps. When he does, it is usually for about three hours at a time at very strange hours--such as a nap at three in the afternoon. This means he's usually up for most of the night, and has arisen early in the morning. He tends to use endearments as insults, or when he's being especially condescending. It's one of the few traits he picked up from his mother, though he does not realize that is where it came from or he would be much more loath to do it.
This is a cat that places a huge amount of importance on the idea of loyalty. However, it goes both ways. Once you have his affection and loyalty, you’ll pretty much always have it, unless you betray his. Once you’ve done something bad enough to lose it though, it’s gone forever. He tends not to give second chances, especially to those he was never hugely fond of in the first place. In thirty years only one cat has come close to earning back Macavity’s loyalty once they lost it.
While often times he tries very hard around those close to him to downplay his violent tendencies, and the dirty work he does in the underworld, these very much affect who he is, and he has been known to snap before. Though he doesn’t talk about the amount of violence he does, it can be seen in the way he moves and holds his body, and he won’t hesitate, if he feels the necessity, to go after somecat himself, or take a hit out on them. The underworld is a brutal place, and he’s a product of it.
That being said, he is also quite the charmer, though he usually isn't entirely aware of it. Charisma is probably his highest score, and he tends to sooth those around him in the strangest way. When he walks into a room, he commands everyone's attention, and usually makes them like him to boot. Either cats love him or they hate him, Macavity tends not to produce much middle ground.
Special skills: He rarely sleeps, so he's active at all hours in some form or another. He also has very good hearing, and as such has a habit of telling people to come into his office before they have a chance to knock because he can hear them approaching. This usually frightens the other cats a little and puts them on edge. He's also a surprisingly decent cook, having cooked for his family for years since he was seven (though since then he prefers to hire a cook than do it himself).
Weaknesses: Physically he doesn’t take hits to his lower ribs very well, a throwback to when he was living with his father. He tends to have a blind spot towards those he cares for too.
Fears: Somewhere, he still fears his father, though this is more likely to come out as a desire to see the other dead than anything else. Also, there are very few people he cares about, but if he does, he would rather not see them get hurt. If he ever thought about it, he would be terrified of becoming a father, but so far the idea has not even crossed his mind. Having lived through life with gangsters and other types that live on the bottom of society, he has also seen madness up close and personal, and refuses to admit he's just as scared of losing his mind as anything else.
Likes: This is a guy who enjoys the simple things. A good smoke, coffee, and a well-oiled, functioning crime-Mecca with a deed in his name.
Dislikes: Those who are high and mighty, abusive fathers or husbands, those too sweet or charming, and cops trying to get in his business. He refuses to touch alcohol, and he has a strong aversion to tea.
History: He grew up in a dysfunctional household. His father, Deuteronomy, was a dirty politician who gambled, whored and drunk himself into a stupor many nights. His mother, Grizabella, was a social butterfly famed for her status, money and beauty. When she left when he was seven, he never wanted to hear about her again, and has happily no idea where she went or what she is doing. Needless to say, the drunken beatings and overall emotional wasteland that his early years continues to haunt him. For years he has been mighty protective of his youngest brother, Rum Tum Tugger, though lately that has made him more annoyed with the other more than anything. He has had few friends in his life, so he has stuck close to the one person he might possibly consider to be anything of a friend, Coricopat Zimmerman.
Originally, he had made his way through high school, graduating if not the top of his class, damn near it. However, there wasn't even the chance of money for college, but he tried to make a go of actually living a clean life, getting a job at the bank and working there for several years, until one night he came home to a bleeding brother that tipped him over the edge. The money he was bringing home just wasn't enough, and he dreamed of taking his younger brother and running away from the bastard that was supposed to be his father.
After that he started sending out feelers into the underworld, getting a chance finally to join a gang, and being mentored by a particularly crazy member by the name of Brachen. However, the pair got along surprisingly well, and Macavity would hate to admit how much he was influenced by the other. Just as he was starting to think he had a way out, disaster struck and Brachen was gone and Macavity was too terrified to take Tugger and run with them, so life settled back down into the same routine. Eventually Coricopat returned from college, and they banded together, moving even more quickly up the ranks of the underworld together.
Four years ago he built his headquarters, the Demoniaque, and moved in as soon as the penthouse on floor thirteen was complete. He kept contact with his brothers at that point, if not his father. However, he broke with his two younger brothers about a year ago, more to protect them out of a strange sense of honor than anything else. This idea of separating from his brothers has been all shot to hell recently, helped along by the natural death of his father. Between the old bastard's death and his official marriage to Griddlebone, some of his rough edges have started to smooth down. The question now is if he can keep his underworld edge if he's settling into a life of contentment.
He now has a pair of twins and no idea what to do.
Love Interest: The first time Macavity felt anything like love for somecat other than his brothers was when he was twenty. Shortly after that, he ended up in a physical relationship with his mob mentor, Brachen Myre, and though it turned into something more at the time he wasn't close to being willing to admit he loved the other. Since then, he's had a string of flings that often ended badly rather quickly, and he'd all but given up on queens--or toms for that matter--when it came to romantic attachments.
Then he fell fast and hard for Griddlebone when she let him use his phone after being shot. She had a lover out to sea, but they began a relationship anyway that's ended with her giving him a pair of kits and with them married.
Quotes: “Tell me I’m not going to have to skin you for this.”
Theme Song: “Angry Johnny” by Poe, also fond of “Black Fox” by Heather Dale. He took one look at "Snuff" by Slipknot and decided that was his as well. "6:45 (So This is How it Feels)" by Firewater and a good pile of Streetlight Manifesto songs, including "Watch it Crash," "Would You be Impressed?" and "We Will Fall Together." "Where Do We Draw the Line" by Poets of the Fall. "Cool" West Side Story

New section! THINGS HIS HENCHES SHOULD KNOW:
He has several main triggers: rape and abuse of women, or abuse of children, and keeping secrets or information from him. Offering him tea is a much more minor trigger, but should perhaps be avoided ((Thought this one at least won't get your hench killed)). Doesn't mean your henches should know these are his specific triggers, but please keep them in mind. Though, seriously, this is a guy that will not be pleased if you keep any secrets from him. If he finds out you have been, there's going to be some pretty massive trouble for your hench character.
Henches rarely knock on his door. He has very good hearing, and likes to put them on edge by telling them to enter before they can even knock. If someone gets close enough to knock without him calling out, something's probably wrong.
He's awake at all hours of the day at some point or another, and probably will expect his henches to be around. Be prepared to be woken all hours of the night. This has lately been changing since Griddlebone moved in with him however, as she keeps him tied down to bed for saner hours.
In a closed society where everybody’s guilty, the only crime is getting caught. In a world of thieves, the only final sin is stupidity.
