Electra's tail swished behind her as she restocked the shelves, humming snatches of a tune she had heard last night to herself.

Demeter had today off. She needed groceries. Especially stuff to make soup for tonight. It was her day to cook. So she stepped into Richard's General Store. She saw her house-mate Electra. "Hey Ele."

Electra turned at the sound of the other. "Hm...? Oh hello Demeter. How are you today?"

She smiled shyly. "I'm alright. It's my day off and my day to cook. So I'm going to make some beef stew. How are you?"

"Hm, beef stew sounds good. I certainly can't complain," she added, putting the last of the new stock on the shelf. "Day off huh? That sounds lovely."

"I'll make sure you get some. When are you done with work?" About having the day off, she smiled ruefully. "It's one of my few days off." She got some vegetables, beef, milk, and some bread. she went up to the counter to pay.

"Thanks honey," Electra said, sliding back behind the counter to ring up the total. "I should be off in another hour or so. Plenty of time to get back for dinner."

She grinned at Electra calling her honey. "I could get it started and if you want you could help?" She didn't know the queen all that well but wanted to.

"Certainly," she said, naming the price of the groceries. "I'll be there as soon as I can." She barely knew the newest member of the house but already she could feel her mothering instincts kicking in.
