Name: Demeter Scarratti
Aliases: Deme, Dem, Me, or on a rare occassion she is refered to as "Dem Dem"
Age: 27
Build: She's very slim and slender compared to most queens. Her figure is more straight than is average and the curves she does have are smooth and not as exaggerated.
Origin: Felidae
Occupation: Prohibition Agent
Eyes: Demeter's eyes are a yellowed gold color, like the color of the harvest moon.
Hair: Her hair is a mottled blend of gold black and white streaks. It's cut into a short fashion and is styled into popular and playful finger waves.
Scars: She has a few scratches across her right hip from a childhood accident, but other than that she's pretty clean when it comes to scars.
Fur/Markings: She is a wild almost tabby-like mixture of black and gold markings. She has a white muzzle and the white trails down the front of her neck into a 'bib'.
Attire: Demeter dresses like most of the girls of her generation. She wears flashy cothing and shorts skirts accompanied by high heels and feathery accessories. Or at least she does at any opportunity given to her. Most times when she is not raiding some speak, her outfits are much more subdued than she would like. Though she would love to wear bright vibrant colors, most of her clothing is made up of dull and darker colors. Her everday choice of clothing is still leaning towards a more rebelious side, though; she will still wear some of her accessories and her high heels.
Accessories: She usually always has something around her neck: jewls, pearls, and all the above. Most of the time she doesn't wear any hats but when she is in the mood she can become quite creative with them.
WOC: Demeter has never been one for weapons, even when she took the job of prohibition agent. It is against her will that she carries a mini-revolver on her garter at most times, but when she thinks she can get away with it she goes without.
Appearance: She is almost the definition of young and youthful looking. With all of the style that followed the flapper fashion, she still manages to look younger than her age. By appearance she appears about twenty-one or even twenty, instead of twenty-seven. It doesn't bother her much at all and sometimes it makes her job easier. Who would expect a young girl to be a dry agent?
Personality: On the job she usually acts shy and plays the newly rebelious young daughter persona. She has it down to a science, and Demeter knows just when to stutter and when to act bashful. It makes her seem rather endearing and innocent.
Quite the contrary, Demeter is actually pretty strong willed and stubborn. She has a problem with being told what to do, but most of the time she is able to take her orders with only a minimal complaints. Also, if you get into an argument with her, she will continue on and on until you give up and she wins by default.
With a flick of her tail and a wrinkle of her nose, she won't hesitate to let you know how things lie. If she has something on her mind, you'll know by her outward demeanor. She is very outspoken and most of the time she has a hard time keeping her thoughts to herself. Demeter is a "wear your heart on your sleeve" kind of person most of the time.
It's odd that when she is on the job she can cloak her loud personality up with whatever character she decides to be to get the job done. Usually she is pretty flawless at adapting herself like this and on more than one occasion cats have teased her by telling her she would have made a great actress.
Special skills: Acting like something she isn't, weasling other cats into doing things for her... like buying her a drink.
Weaknesses: She really can't hold a drink all that well; so if she actually has to drink the alcohol she gets a hold of, she gets tipsy and drunk rather quickly. Despite her wild attitude, she is still a girl and tends to get distracted by rather good looking toms.
Fears: Most things creepy and crawly. Spiders give her the creeps, and, though she won't scream or freak out when she sees them, she tends to hesitate when they cross her path. Big dogs also tend to send chills up her spine and make her fluff her fur out defensively.
Likes: She loves the colors purple and green, but never together. Demeter also is partial to a good cup of tea with lots of sugar added into it. Usually she can't stand coffee but if you add lots of sugar and milk to it, she can't complain too much about it.
She loves music and dancing; if you ever watch her when she goes into a speakeasy, the first thing she usually does is hit the dance floor instead of the bar.
She is also really fond of brightly colored eyes on all cats and won't hesitate to gush over how pretty they are if your cat happens to have nice eyes.
Dislikes: The color brown because she thinks it's so bland, but she'll still wear it on occassion because it goes with her fur.
Demeter can't stand cats who tend to chatter a lot, despite her own tendencies to blurt out exactly what she is thinking. It's just one of her flaws.
History: Demeter was born on the outskirts of Felidae to a wealthy upper-middle class family. Her childhood was relatively normal; she was popular in school and made pretty decent grades.
When she graduated, most cats, excluding those who really knew her, thought she would just stay bottled up with her parents until they could marry her off. Contrary to popular believe the queen did not like that idea at all and was constantly getting out of the house and into trouble. Instead of being one of those girls who pretended that they were innocent, Demeter flat out told her parents what she was doing when they asked. She also proceeded to tell them that she was going to keep doing it too.
Through her rebelious days with her parents, she picked up a good amount of lower end jobs just to prove that she could. She's picked up a variety of little skills such as waiting tables, flattering customers, cleaning, some cooking, and she was even to get a job in a theater for a good long while. It was there she picked up her acting skills and took a real shine to it.
What she didn't like about the theater was all the people. When she was on stage she could pretend that the audience wasn't there, but the moment the lights dimmed and she could see them, sometimes up in to the hundreds of them, she would be overcome with stage fright. It was ridiculous. Demeter, who was one of the most popular kits in school and usually surrounded by people, had stage fright.
A few years ago she ditched the stage and while roaming for a job she discovered an add in the newspaper about the pay for Prohibition Agents. Immediately she marched herself over to the Chief Enforcement Agent and signed up for the job. At first she was almost openly laughed at, but some were curious as to if a woman could weasle her way into a speak. They gave Demeter her first assignment, expecting her to fail; when she simply walked in and was able to purchase a drink and stroll out, many were amazed. In any case she's had the job since.
Now she's moved out of her parents home and owns her own small apartment by herself. Some cats still ask if she plans to marry like her parents wanted her too, but she mostly ignores those questions.
Love Interest: Demeter, despite all her big words, still has a heart and is indeed looking for a tom to suit her fancy. As of yet she hasn't really met any cats who could keep her interest long enough, and those that do usually can't keep up with her antics. Most of her relationships tend to crumble apart a few weeks in, but that doesn't dampen Demeter's spirits.
Quotes:
Theme Song: "Real Wild Child" is obviously one of her favorites. "King of Anything" makes her smile because it reflects her personality so well.
