The young queen sighed, shifting slightly in her seat, "Alright, but I'm sure it's nothin'." a pause before she swung her feet down to the floor from where they'd been tucked up under her. "I should get us some dinner on."

Jerrie watched her for a minute. "Alright, but I want t' be sure." He paused a moment. "Y' want any help with that?"

"I can manage if you've got other things you need ta' be doin', but if not an' y'don't mind, then sure." it was unusual for Teazer to accept an offer of help so easily, but she was tired and it had been a long day, she rather wanted to get dinner out of the way so she could finish up cleaning the milk out of her uniform and get some time to herself.

Jerrie quickly set his carving aside, getting to his feet. "Got nothin' else t' be doin'." He was rather surprised she'd accepted the offer, that wasn't normal....

Teazer nodded at her brother, getting up properly and padding into the kitchen. At least she'd decided earlier in the day what they'd have tonight, she took a sack of potatos from a cupboard, wincing slightly when the weight of them pulled on her arm and beginning to wonder if she really had done some damage to it. She tried not to let the pain carry though to her face again as she passed the sack to Mungojerrie, she could do without him worrying. "Can you peel a few of those for me."

The torbie watched his sister carefully for signs of strain, but nodded slightly. "How many're you wanting?" He ran them under water from the sink and found a knife to peel them with.

"How many d'you think you'll..." Teazer stopped mid-sentance, hurrying over to the sink as she realised what her brother was doing, "Hold it! Didn't you check to see if it was empty first?! That's my work dress you've just covered in dirt!"

Jer looked sheepish. "It's not like you usually set your dress t' soak in the sink. Tub'd do better anyhow."

"Well it's not like I useually get it covered in a gallon of milk neither!" Teazer retorted, hoisting the dripping garment out of the sink and running the tap over where the dirt had stuck to it.

"We were runnin' short before the lunch rush and I ran out to get a couple gallons of milk. Slipped in the shop and ended up spillin' one all over myself." Teazer explained, still washing the mud from the dress.

"Should do," Teazer nodded, "was just one more thing I could do without, they wern't best pleased at work when I didn't get back til the middle of the lunch rush and they'd been short of milk from ten minutes in. Also, I couldn't borrow a spare dress, they didn't have one in my size, so rather than havin' a waitress smelling of sour milk all afternoon I've bin' on pot washin' in the kitchen."
