Running a paw through his headfur, Sonya narrowed his eyes at the papers in front of him. Truly, he despised the morons that did not even understand how to file paperwork and yet were given the task. One paw reaching out, he tried to locate his coffee cup without looking up, only to find it empty when he had it.

Was Russell nervous? Certainly. It was only natural. Normal people would be worried about stepping into the Police Department building, even voluntarily. As a criminal it was even more nerve wracking, but the tortie was able to pass under the scrutiny of all the officers because he told himself they didn't know and there was no way for them to know.
Mostly unhindered, he had to stop to ask where the Commissioner's office was, Russell was able to make his way to Sonya's office door. After a brief moment of hesitation, the tortie raised his hand to knock on the door. As he waited for an answer, he shifted the weight of the bag and coffee in his paws.

"Come in," Sonya said, putting his cup aside with a sigh and trying to scribble down the tail end of the report. Which meant he was hardly looking up toward the door.

The tortie swept into the room, shutting the door behind him. Quietly, he set down the cup of freshly brewed cup of coffee in front of the grey tom. "Good Morning," He said in way of greeting.

Sonya's shoulders tensed at the sound of that voice and he slowly looked up. "What are you doing here?" he hissed.

Though inwardly he was truly nervous, Russell knew enough about disguises that he was able to shrug his shoulders and weave his tail behind him naturally. "Apologizing," He explained and lifted the bag in his left paw. "I brought you some warm breakfast and some 'ot quaility coffee." At the last part he gestured to the new cup of coffee sitting on the desk.

"I already ate," Sonya ground out, a not quite lie. His tail swished violently behind him on the chair he was sitting on and he didn't even glance at the coffee.

"I brought a hash brown pattie and some bacon," Russell continued on regardless. His long tail swept around his waist as he set the bag down as well. Looking up, Russell blinked at Sonya with his bright blue eyes. With one paw he gently pet his the tip of his tail absentmindedly.

Narrowing his eyes, Sonya pushed the bag to the very edge of his desk without knocking it over. "What are you playing at?" he demanded.

Russell tilted his head inocently to the side. "Being nice?" His gentle tone seemed innocent enough... because it was well practiced.

"You will excuse me if I find it difficult to believe you," Sonya replied, looking down at the papers than the other. "If you do not mind leaving then?"

At the sharp comment Russell gave a true wince. "Ouch," He mumbled. "Why wouldn't you believe me?"

"You are the type to want something," Sonya replied. "I believe you have more than proved that."

The tortie perched himself on the edge of the chair, which sat in front of the Commissioner's desk. Sitting right on the edge of the seat gave him enough room to rest his elbows on the desk and rest his chin on his paws. "True," He agreed and tilted his head again. "This time et es honest."

"Why would I believe you that this time is honest?" the Commissioner asked, still not moving to take the food.
