She shrugged. "You are welcome to do as you like. I can get myself home just as easily by myself if you prefer to return to your own."

"I have no pressing reason to hurry home," he responded as he hailed a cab. He opened the door for her, "So if you have no objections I think I will see you home."

He shrugged slightly, "It was unexpected. I wouldn't call it good...civil is most likely the correct term."

Considering that she nodded, her mind trying to figure out if there was anything more lurking behind those statements. Even if there was it was hardly her actual business. "Civil can be quite the thing to find in a place like that."

She rolled her shoulders. "Informative, if nothing else. Was civil with some people requiring it and there was good food and tasteful decorations if nothing else. And no matter how lovely this dress is, I will be relieved to be out of it."
