Blinking at how abruptly the tabby broke his sentence off, Electra busied herself for a moment with ordered before turning back to Munkustrap after the waiter left. "So, did you have any idea when you might like to go and shop for these things?"

She glanced up from the dish that she had been paying attention to. "Yes, Munkustrap?"

"I...that is..." He drew a deep breath, rising and moving over to her side of the table and going down on one knee, withdrawing the box from his pocket and opening it, "Electra, will you marry me?"

For a long moment the queen was unable to respond, eyes wide. "M-Munkustrap?" she managed, huge eyes going to the ring at the center of the question.

He offered her an almost surprised smile at that, gently taking her paw, "Truly?" His tone held a note of disbelief, though it was faint.
