He offered her a bit of a smile at that, "You're too kind. The bus is a useful transportation and would cut the walk down a good deal. It's also quite affordable."

"Merci for the information, Mssr Hollister," she said politely. She did blush a bit when he called her too kind - at least it was a compliament, or that was how she was taking it. "I will most definitely have to look into it. Does the bus come close to the Démoniaque?" she asked quietly.

"It stops several blocks from the Demoniaque, I fear, but it does shorten the trip as it can be caught at just about any block in the downtown area."

"Merci, Mssr Hollister, you are most kind," she said, quite happy that this gentletom had been so willing to help a complete stranger. "I hope your brother is as kind as you are."

"Where do you think I learned it from?" He asked, an eyebrow arching slightly. "Mac can have times where he isn't, but he's a good cat when you get right down to it."

She gave an idle shrug, almost said something in regards to parents but thought better of it. "I suppose our brothers would get along then," she said. "Your Mac," she hesitated on saying the name, "and my Raoul and Philippe. I love my brothers to death but there are days..."

That garnered a laugh, "I'm sure all siblings say the same. There are days you'd rather string them up than deal with them?"

"Exactly," she said. "Especially since I am the youngest of five," she said. "I love my elder siblings to death, but I really wish they would see I am not a small child anymore and would not coddle me." She gave a tiny sigh. "I should not complain too much though. They are the only family I have.

"Sometimes elder siblings don't know what to do beyond protecting and sheltering their younger relations," Munkustrap murmured. "But there does come a time when even the baby of the family needs to be allowed on his or her own."

"I wish my elder brothers and elder sisters had been here to have heard that," she said wryly. "Forgive my curiosity, but is it just you and your elder brother?" she asked hestitantly. "If anything, it would explain your views all the better."

Munkustrap shook his head, "No, we've a younger brother as well. Spent most of our lives looking after him."

She gave a small nod at that. So, he did practice what he preached. Rare to see a tom that did just that. "You both must be very fond of him, and proud of him that he is able to walk his own path now," she said softly.

Munkus' brow arched, "Well, we'll see if he actually accomplishes that path of his, he's given us no evidence in the past that he will, but who knows. He has his own house and a job now, and he's survived this long, so we've done all we can."

"It does not hurt to be hopeful," she said quietly. "But, if your younger brother is anything like you, then I have faith he will be successful walking down his chosen path," she said softly, blushing a little.
((Oh, Lise, you silly little dreamer.))

The silver tabby smiled a bit at that, "Thank you, but Miss you hardly know me. For all you know my law practice could be in shambles and I could be living in a run-down apartment without a penny to my name."
