The grey cat was almost tempted to laugh in her face at the complete lack of subtly. "Well, that is one thing I suppose you won't find here," he said, rolling his eyes. "At least not from Mr. Hollister. Yes, I do believe that bed needs to be finished."

"Thank you, Mssr," she murmured, taking the comment for what it was and returned her attention to the bed she had started to remove the linens from. Of course, now she knew she had to make sure that if she sung again (and if being the key word) - that the tom before her had no chance of hearing her.
Not that she wasn't grateful for the brief audience, but truly, the tom unnerved her to no end. She gave a mental shake of the head and went back to work, humming softly as she did. Yes, perhaps she'd go and get that nice stiff drink after work. Everlasting Cat knew she needed one after her nerves were so badly rattled.

Martin lingered a moment longer, noting the humming before shaking his head slightly and turning to finish the task he had been planning. Some more snooping would be needed later but for now, he had other issues.

((poor Martin - I don't think he was ready to find out that his files weren't accurate))
Lise paused as she watched him leave. She shook herself and went right back to getting the bed made. "Well, Papa," she murmured to herself. "Things are going to be down right interesting now." She wrapped her left paw around her cross and squeezed it tightly. Things were going to get very interesting indeed. She took a cleansing breath and went back to work.
Not enough hours in the day, she sighed as she finally finished putting the clean sheets on and smoothed them. Now.. which room was next?
