Several minutes later Macavity came up the stairs with a tray, having gone out into the garden and clipped a few dandelions and stuck them in a glass with water. "Here," he said, sitting it down. "And what did I tell you about strainin' that brain of yours?"

"I gotta get this stuff done, Mac," his younger brother protested, eying the tray with the dandelions warily.

"Mac, I'm fine!" The silver tabby's ears lay back. Alright, so he'd passed out at school because he hadn't been eating enough, and had been doing too much on very little food. But he was fine.

Munkustrap growled quietly, "Yes, Mac. I will stay in bed and eat my soup." He scowled at his older brother, "I'm still reading though."
