Mistoffelees offered back a faint purr, shifting closer. It was like handing a feast to a starving man, the sudden amount of contact he was being given.

Cori's other paw moved to scratch the base of Misto's tail again as he drew back enough to look the younger cat in the eyes, "Are you sure?"

Mistoffelees blinked, having not been quite sure how far Coricopat had meant to take this but nodding anyway. "Are you?"

There was a very slight pause before Coricopat nodded, "Yes."

"Alright," Misto said, a paw resting on Coricopat's cheek. "Then so am I."

Cori leaned in and kissed him again, deeply this time, drawing the other cat flush against him.

Allowing himself to be pulled in, Mistoffelees tilted his head into the kiss, fingers twining around Coricopat's neck.
Some time later he lay curled around Coricopat's chest, still purring faintly and basking in being allowed to lay there.

Cori glanced down at the black cat next to him. His paw came up to idly scratch at the base of Misto's ears, a quiet purr thrumming in his chest. "We really ought to get ready for work this evening at some point..." He made no move to leave, more than content to lay there with his lover in his arms.

Mistoffelees' ear batted his paw again. "Leave off my ears," he mumbled, not really meaning it. "The evening's not for a while anyway," he continued, and lifted his head enough to look at the clock. "... I did however miss my meeting. I will apologize profusely tomorrow and claim sickness." Letting his head fall back down, he lifted a paw to rest right where he could feel the quiet purring.

Coricopat smirked as he stroked Misto's ear again, "Well, they will have to take your claim of illness at face value. Who was the meeting with anyhow?"

"Mr. Anderson, the accountant. Just to go over a few things, nothing terribly important though I feel bad for wasting his time." Misto's ear flickered again and he tilted his head into the touch, still purring.

"Anderson? As in Charles Anderson? I didn't realize he was working for you." The mottled tom's paw drifted down to rub circles in the small of the other cat's back.

Mistoffelees shifted lazily into the touch and nodded. "Yeah. Do you know him?"

"We were at school together," he tilted his head enough to kiss Mistoffelees' forehead.

Misto purred into that motion. It was like turning a switch on, apparently, or breaking a dam. "Did you like him?" he asked, twining his fingers around the back of Cori's neck and petting the fur there.
