Munkustrap paused for a long moment before knocking on the door to the Wheeler's home. He needed to talk to Jerrie, if Mistofelees wasn't there he'd talk to the black cat at a different time, but this needed to be sorted soon.
Jerrie looked up at the sound, glancing at Misto, "I'll be back in a minute."

Misto glanced over from where he was on the couch and nodded. "Sure."

Jerrie answered the door, blinking. "Oh, Munkus. Wasn' expectin' you."
The silver tabby nodded slightly, "I need to talk to you about a couple of things, may I come in?"
Stepping aside, Jer motioned for the other tom to precede him into the living room.
Munkus nodded slightly, pausing when he saw Mistoffelees, "Oh, good. It'll be easier if you're both here."

Eyebrows going up, Misto looked the silver tabby over. "That... doesn't sound particularly good..."

Jerrie looked the lawyer over, "What's wrong, Munkus?"
"I wanted to talk with the two of you about the viability of keeping the still running." He shook his head, "I'm not sure I can keep this up."

Eyebrows inching a bit higher, Misto drew his legs up underneath him on the couch. "Alright," he said finally, for lack of anything better to say.

"Is there a particular reason?" Jerrie asked quietly as he settled in a chair, withdrawing his carving, he was at the sanding point finally, he'd stain it tonight.
"I would rather not be overseeing a rum-running gang at the same time that public opinion will be seeking tar and feathers for me."

"Right, the case," Misto said softly. "Well, I mean..." he glanced over at Jerrie. "I don't need to keep up something like this anyway, but if you need it..."

Jerrie shook his head slightly, "With jobs pickin' up an' Teazer with a job I don' need it. I'll need help gettin' th' thing outta th' basement."
"I can see if I can find time to help you with that later this week perhaps." Munkus answered, sounding pretty relieved.
"Does Tugger know?"
"I haven't seen him recently."

"He seemed to imply as much as he didn't have time recently, he wouldn't in the future either," Misto said from his spot on the couch.

Munkus turned to him, "You've seen him?"

Misto nodded, still feeling bitter. "I had to flag him down on the street to get a single word out of him, but yeah, caught him yesterday."

Munkus nodded slightly, "Have you seen him at all, Jerrie?"
"Not recently, I've run th' still m'self this last week." He replied, shaking his head slightly.

"He said he was too busy and that it was hardly personal, and that it looked like he would continue to be that busy," Misto offered.

Munkus nodded, "Good to know." He glanced between the two of them, "Well, I need to head home and get some work done. Take care, gentlemen."
