Okay, reading No Beauty Could Move Me's newest chapter
-I did a tiny happy dance in my chair at the Vicki/Misto fluff, and she's so cute and encouraging to Misto in having him tell Corico his true feelings. And those nicknames for each other are too entirely cute. "His little fluff" and "her little spark" - cute! ((An unrelated question to be honest - but is Vicki a pure white featherduster or did you go the route of the feather duster in the movie?))
-Love the fact that you played close to Broadway'verse for the Wardrobe/Tantomile ((I'm assuming I can use Tant as shorthand when I refer to her in the future in my reviews?))
-And yay for using background cats - they need love to <3 I think that's the first time I've seen Admetus in a fic. ((You know, without using his name as a filter to find fics with him in it))
-And poor Corico - he forgot that his little candlestick was a showman. And hooray for the "Be Our Guest" musical number ((and hee! You played close to original canon, in the sense that the number was done for a male character. In the book "The making of Beauty and the Beast" - /Maurice/ originally had the number and there are images from that sequence floating around. It was later changed to the number we see now because it would make more sense for it to have been Belle on the receiving end)) The interactions between Misto/Corico are so damn cute.
-I love that one comment by Misto in regards to Tugger. "Somewhere he is too." If that doesn't inspire hope for Tugger, nothing else will.
-And I did feel sorry for Tugger when he went to try and give Tumble something to eat and he wasn't there. Don't give up hope yet, Tugger.
-And yes! You used the scene from the Broadway show to explain why Tumble would run even if he made that promise. ((Tell me you will use the song that the story took it's name from in the next chapter? Especially since it's Tugger's song)) I feel so sorry for Tugger because he couldn't control himself and it /was/ an accident.

I'm not entirely sure about Vic... really it works either way. And yes, Tant. I seem to have a 50/50 thing going on with my Tant muses of either being beyond bitchy or really freaking awesome. She fell down the latter side this time at least.
... Oh Admetus. He will be showing up again, because in one story I had, he just randomly showed up as a main character and has since not left me alone. The three major things he's kept from that story across the board are: he's sorta out of his mind, in a good way, he loves food, and Alonzo will always want to slap him across the face.
Yes, Misto's a totally a performer. ((In said AU Admetus showed up in, he was getting a Masters in Acting.)) Glad he and Cori are still cute.
Yes, poor Tugger! He just needs love! Lots of love!
Accident plus complete /panic/ at seeing someone near his rose that's his only hope of ever being human again. It just did not go down well.

The only reason I asked is if/when I get around to sketching her, I wanted to have the proper colors for her when I colored. ((If/when my computer decides it wants to cooperate with me and not freeze when I open programs - I had just gotten rid of a virus and when I tried to open notepad so I could work on ideas while on a board, it up and froze on me so I haven't scanned anything yet, I'll have Tumble up (well, at least the line art) so you can view it before I begin to color)) And yay! I'm finding myself liking Admetus (your version at least) - he sounds like an awesome character ((And I can see Misto with a degree in acting. (And possibly a degree in some science in order to better help his magic.) It fits him)) I loved the "Get off." "Or?" "There has to be an or?" "I'm comfy here" exchange. ((I literally aw'ed about there)) Misto's kind of clear and Corico's all "but but but wut?" Totally wanted to snuggle Tugger when he said "Act like a gentleman, I am nothing but a fool". That was so painful to read since you know that the last time he failed to do that he ended up like he did now. So, to see him attempt and it just fall to ashes, it's painful. Agreed - it's supposed to be a heartbreaking scene in the musical and it leads to one of his most beautiful vocal pieces. ((Then again, I'm biased since I love Mann's voice in that role. And heh, www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwGr-AT-k7c - the audio isn't terribly good but look, Beauty and the Beast on Ice. Had such a massive crush on Victor Petrenko in this...))

Woo for fanart!
Alright, so, Admetus... His basic character is summed up in this scene ((Context of him being a mob boss))
Genghis rolled his eyes as they pulled up. "You have got to be kidding me..."
Jacobi blinked as well. "This is, are you sure this is the place?" he blinked at the golden arches in front of them.
"It's the right address." The seal-point Siamese rolled his eyes, getting out of the car. "I'll be back in a little bit, shouldn't take long."
"I can come in if you want," Jacobi said, looking at the McDonald's again.
"No, I don't think it will be necessary. There's some honor among thieves still, Harry."
"Even ones that set up meets at a McDonalds?"
"I didn't say there were braincells, but the number of witnesses at a place this public?"
He inclined his head. "True. Good luck."
Genghis nodded once before entering the place, his lip curling in disgust at the scents that assailed his nose.
Admetus had positioned himself at a table with his back to the wall, but he could still see the doorway. He grinned as he saw the Siamese enter, and waved him over with a lazy paw.
[2/10/2011 5:51:18 PM] Meghan H: ((... My characters seem to pick up my paraniod habits about doors)) [2/10/2011 5:52:55 PM] Meg: ((apparently...though it makes sense for Mac and Admetus))
Genghis rolled his eyes, strolling over. "Admetus I assume?"
"The Siamese, I assume?" Admetus said with a grin.
"Whatever gave you that idea."
Admetus' brow quirked up and he made sure to give the other a very long look over. "I do wonder," he murmured and spread a paw out. "Do take a seat."
Genghis eyed the seat, disliking the position it would put him in, either his back to the door or to the cat he knew nothing about, either his back to the window or to the restaurant. No he didn't care for that one bit. He finally sat down. "Now, what's this all about?"
Admetus tried not to smirk as he watched him trying to decide where to sit. "Whatever do you mean? Can't two cats have a friendly chat." He paused, and then, "French fry?" he asked, holing one out to the other.
Genghis surveyed the offering with distaste. "I can feel my arteries clogging simply breathing in this air. What do you want?"
Admetus shrugged, popping the golden fry into his mouth instead. "You always this much in a rush?"
Misto as an actor worked really well. He would have gone for a PhD in acting but it seemed a little too pretentious. XD That was actually the verse he ended up utterly shattered in...
Misto tends to be very physical. You see that clearly in Buffyverse, but even in verses where he's grown up lacking physical touch it comes through (Felidae and Victorian.) So he clings to Cori and Cori just doesn't get it. Or tries to ignore it.
Tugger needs love after that, yes. He just doesn't understand what he's supposed to do here but he's trying oh so hard.
I do love Terrance Mann's voice pretty much hands down. Always.

I think reading that is going to make me bias towards your take and I'm going to be comparing all others to that ::laughs::
Oh, I understand the idea of having an actor shatter. I had a ninja in a Naruto AU I was playing with have a glorious shattering while doing an audition for a theatre company (it was basically the pain of losing all of the people close to her and singing "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished" that just shattered her. I don't think I've picked up the pieces in regards to her yet. Need to get back to that fic at some point.)
And I love the idea of a snuggly Misto. (Mine haven't quite gotten too far into the snuggle stages - but it's still early in the fic for it to happen. Although, he doesn't mind if a female decides to start the snuggling.)
And hopefully, things will start looking up for Tugger after he goes to rescue Tumble from the wolves

XD Always glad to bias someone... XD I do enjoy my Admetus. He should be showing up in Victorian eventually too.
Snuggly Misto is one I'm pretty much stuck with. Even in verses he doesn't realize it in.
Things look up for Tugger eventually. It's a very different Tugger muse to deal with, it's interesting.
As for shattering Misto... it had nothing to do with being on stage actually. It was finding out he at /most/ had five years to live, going into hiding for 6 months, and then being used as his uncle for a science experiment. He was actually quite /happy/ to be going back to the stage, though it took him a really long time. I didn't actually realize he was shattering until he shut down entirely mid conversation with Cori.

Oh, oh, oh my. Given the comment "at most five years to live", I'm wagering he either had cancer or some other disease. The fic where he is the actor - is that posted anywhere? I'd love to read it. It sounds fascinating :D
And yay for things to be looking up for Tugger :D He needs some happiness at this point.
Snuggly Mistos are awesome - I need mine to get into snuggle mode ((right now the bugger is fighting me on three fronts))

Actually, it was his magic becoming active. It was a "Active magic uses up someone's life force, and once it becomes active, you have between like 8 months and the longest we've seen is 5 years. Oh, and did we mention that it was actually Cori that activated your magic (by accident)?" His reaction to this entire story is "I'm an actor! I'm not supposed to be dealing with this!" Especially since he's been the first active magical cat to show up since WWII so the entire underworld is after him.
Sadly, it's not posted because we looked over the story and went, you know, we change the names and edit it and we can try to get this published. It's like 755 pages. I think we've gotten the names changed over for the most part, finally. However, at some point we might send it out to a couple people for sorta "peer reviews" so if at that point you're still interested...
Tugger always needs happiness at some point, yes.
((Damn.)) Yes, snuggly Misto's are lovely. It sometimes takes him a while to realize he's one, but they're awesome.

((Yeah, he's royally miffed that I had Mac capture him for some "father son bonding time" in one fic.)) He's slowly heading that way in one of my other fics - he calls the hospital that one of the characters worked at, told them he was her husband and the reason they didn't know that was a) he had been out of the country and b) that she never talks about herself, and tells them she'd be in for her next shift tomorrow. Her first hang-up was the name and then she promptly spazzes on husband once it sinks in that's the word he used.
oh, believe me, I'd be more then willing to read/review ((hell, I wouldn't mind if you or Meadow read the one fic I posted here and review it and see what needs work. I can see the scenes and how they play out in my head, but it's the whole getting them onto paper that drives me nuts))
And yeowch, poor Cori and Misto in that universe ((what made me think cancer was the time frame of how long he had left. It doesn't help that one of my cousins has cancer and it's not looking good. On the plus side, he's an adult and he's lived his life, but on the down side, it sucks knowing that.))
Agreed. Tuggers need love :D ((Hell, I'm thinking all of the Hollister kids need happiness after that crappy beginning they went through))

Yeah, I could actually see Misto doing something like that. Mine would be more of a 'I don't want to deal with the time it would take for this so yeah hi.'
I've had a couple scenes that once they were on paper realized this was /not/ the scene my characters had just given me, where did the original scene go?
Yeah. I think they break several times. See, Cori breaks anytime something happens to Misto like a plate. We glue him back together and set him back on the shelf. Misto just shattered and I don't think I got him fully back together by the end of the story. It takes a long time. Especially since I have him some really obvious scars. He starts wearing a lot more clothing than he used to be the end of the story. ((Oh dear. I'm sorry. That's never fun to deal with... lived life or not.))
Everyone needs love! Except for Martin. >.>

You know, I shudder at the thought of Martin getting a love interest ((Of course, now that I've said that, someone will create one for him just to be obnoxious)) ((Thanks. It just sucks, you know.)) And ugh, I feel sorry for them - especially Misto. Poor dear. I know one scene I have written that I hadn't planned on - it was Misto getting defensive when Lise is futzing around in the kitchen (trying to make a cup of coffee before she heads into work, which leads into Misto calling her out) and starts singing "You can do magic" - he thinks she's referring to him and gets bent out of shape because he thinks she's comparing him to Mac. I had no idea where that came from - other then it was an excuse for Lise to hint at Misto's magical nature. ((Of course, I went with the "on stage, Misto/off stage, Quaxo" concept. The whole incident is here: Quaxo stirred to the sound of someone softly singing as they busied themselves in the flat's small kitchen. "You can do magic you can have anything that you desire Magic and you know you're the one who can put out the fire You know darn well when you cast your spell You will get your way when you hypnotize with your eyes A heart of stone can turn to clay..." He perked at the lyrics, wondering what brought that on. Hopefully it wasn't because he was deemed the original conjuring cat. (And he most certainly could not hypnotize anyone with his eyes, thank you very much. That was something Macavity would do and he was not anything like that cat. He bristled at the mental comparasion, and would have words with her if she even thought about comparing the two of them again.) He gave me the flattest look when I suggested "Walking Man's Road" instead.)) Yeah, he's decided he's going to take care of her since she does such a poor job at it herself. (Mainly since not only is she a nurse at local hospital, she volunteers at the vet clinic and the vicarage. One planned scene - provided the characters cooperate - is her finding Old Deuteronomy at the vet clinic and taking him home with her to nurse him back to health before returning him to him home to the vicarage)

New Buffy'verse - yay!
erm.. Guys, might want to proof this one again.. You called Mac by his canonical Buffy'verse name: (and a minor grammar nitpick, that should be a "your", otherwise, you're calling her the stake) And a few lines later, you switch from calling him Mac to Macavity:
And question: Who the devil is Charles? Was that Giles' first name? The reason I ask is because of here:
Feeling really sorry for Misto because he's so crushing on Corico and he's just a woobie. (Corico, please ignore the fact that he's a student and just date him already. Misto is way better then Demeter - especially since Misto lasts the entire run of the series and Demeter, well...)
And I loved the crack about Egypt - it's one of my favorites :D
and hee, Pounce getting "unflapped" - cute :D
((I swear I'm not trying to nitpick - it's just those little things are catching my eye))

I'll go proof it now.
Charles is the first name we chose for Cori, Giles' is Rupert.

We've established Charles Coricopat in the first story. After all, he needs a first name, and also explaining why they call him Cori rather than Mr. Coricopat. Misto is going to have such a hard time calling him by his first name later... he's so used to Cori.
Misto's gone so far beyond crush right now it's not even funny anymore. It's really not. So he's happy in Egypt at the moment, thank you very much Tugger. ((I love Tugger in this verse. He will very shortly be getting really overprotective.))
Yeah, Misto and Cori aren't dating while he's illegal/student. We have this plotted out fairly well at this point, and yeah. Mostly because not only can Cori not morally justify it, but Misto sorta doesn't want him in prison/lose his job. It's a mess. It works out eventually.
