And Alonzo did look interesting in that snippit - is that where the idea for Genghis as a head of the underworld came from or was that from what little we learned from the musical? (I'm surprised none of our muses have rebelled at points. I know I have had at least two look at me askance when I thought about working on a Dracula inspired fic for the holidays.)
((The only other Star I could think of was Star Trek and my mind immediately had visions of Cori as McCoy. ...And Mac as Khan. (Does not help that I had a crush on Khan... or his son in the second Star Trek movie.) Which could be amusing, I think.))
I don't blame him - the mental image was a bit worrisome XD

No, I think it was "Not Me" that Starverse went "Mine" to, Victorian is taking "A Step too Far".

Oh, that is a pretty song ((just heard it for the first time - and I swear, I heard it, I recognized that Radames as Roger from Rent. Kind of surprising)) And I can see both universes laying claim to the songs ((so who gets "How I know You" www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKPQPnS5eXo - which is one of my favorite songs))

No one that I know of at this point, though Pounce claimed the /extremely/ bitter reprise for a verse that we haven't written yet.

Oh, I remember that reprise - it was very bitter indeed. (The reprise was my least favorite song). I do like most of the songs (just "Written in the Stars" is so overused in the animated music video department. I've lost track of how many times I've seen that song used for example in Inuyasha)

"How I Know You" is the reason Admetus and Alonzo have their entire estranged past friends thing.

As for Star Trek... they cast it as Misto as McCoy Cori as Spock and Mac as Kirk. But we're not writing that one. But if we did that's how that dynamic would go. Mac isn't the Khan type really. He tends to be more moral in every time period except the 20s and he's not a megalomanic.

And a lovely thing to wake up to - the final chapter of BatB!verse (pardon me while I sob a little. It's so sad to see it ending.)
Minor chorus of "Ding-Dong, the Witch is dead" with the death of Growltiger (totally deserved it, the asshat that he is in BatB!verse)
And, I will confess, I did squee when Tumble said /the words/! Whoohoo! He confesses and not a moment too soon! Whoohoo! And I did like the conversation where Tugger comforts him after the transformation. I love Tugger so much in this fic <3
And poor Admetus - nothing like getting slapped by your, best friend?, shortly after coming out of cursed state. Hopefully, those two can patch things up between them.
And melted into a little puddle of "aaaaaawwwww" when Misto and Cori finally saw each other sans curse. So damn cute. Been waiting for that for so long <3 I do so love it when they get a deserved happy ending.
And poor Tumble - finding out that his boyfriend's the /prince/. But seriously, he probably should have figured it out (after all, didn't one of his books cover something like this. ...although, if it had, we wouldn't have had much of a story then, unless he still had to learn to love Tugger on his own)
((And, Tumble, relax, there's a variation of the fairy tale where Belle was willing to give up the prince because she was a commoner when the fairy ally of the prince's family appears and reveals that Belle was really a princess (daughter of a king and fairy) and had been switched at birth with the merchant's deceased infant daughter to protect her. Villeneuve was the author of that variation))
And XD those poor visiting nobles. I almost feel a little sorry for them - but I'm too happy for Tugger and Tumble to care about their feelings. I do feel sorry for Cori - all that paper work because of it, but, with Misto, I'm sure Cori won't have any problems whatsoever :D

Likely Scotty would be Admetus. Cori could never have been McCoy. He doesn't have either the grumpiness nor the heart to pull the role off. A grumpier Misto could do so. I've shipped Spock and McCoy since I was just about five years old. Spock/Kirk, while on occasion I can see it, makes me want to bang my head against a table. With Kirk's fidelity issues, first of all, they would never work.
The Voyage Home ((The one with the whales)) has been one of my favorite movies since I was five.
When Growltiger dies and I'm writing him it tends to be a celebratory event. He's especially going to be bad in Victorian verse...
Admetus and Alonzo will patch things up. It will probably mean Admetus doing some groveling but it shouldn't be too bad over all.
We give Tumble lots of comforting Tugger, but no, if he figured this out earlier it would not have worked well. ((See, I always feel like saying "oh, no, they're nobility too!" is a bit of a cop out. I think the only times I've liked it was Spaceballs and the novel "The Courtship of Princess Leia" where it came out that Han was sorta nobility... and then revealed as a hoax and C3PO freaked and tried to stop the wedding and Luke stopped him. That was amusing.))
Screw the paperwork, Mistoffelees has to deal with all those visiting nobles! And make sure their whims are being seen to. XD They'll get each other through it. I'm sure Tugger will never help. He likes grand gestures too much which have his staff running after him with brooms and pans.

Amen on the Kirk fidelity issue (how many women has he had and why is it we've seen only one child because of his issues?) Besides, it was McCoy he (Spock) used at the end of Khan, not Kirk. ((Never could logic out the need for the whales - although, it's been a while since I've watched that one. Would have to fish out the VHS to see them. Do want to get Generations - I liked the Picard/Kirk interaction)) (Although 20s!Cori seems like he could pull off McCoy quite nicely. He's got the proper attitude)
I want to say poor Growltiger, but so far, the only version that's ellicted that response would be the Growltiger here.
((Yeah, that version annoyed me as well. I also found the version where Beauty's sisters were turned into stone statues a bit unnerving, very "I have no mouth and I must scream". Spaceballs was one of my all time favorites - which leads to much quoting between the family. It annoys my father when my mother and I quote horror movie dialogue XD We've quoted the original 50s The Thing to death. "What do you do with a carrot?"))
Whoohoo on the Alonzo/Admetus make-up - I was hoping that would happen :D
And I can see how that would make things awkward (and way too heavy on the meta, with probably a very tilted fourth wall) if Tumble knew ((the only reason I thought of that is because Tumble/Belle were both bookworms and their favorite book had "far off places, daring swordfights, magic spells, a prince in disguise" which their life later mirrored - well, the magic spell and prince in disguise bit))
and poor Misto - I hadn't thought about that aspect of his position. Tugger would owe those two big time XD

I used to think the story Belle reads in the first scene was a correlation to this one, but looking at the illustration and ticking off the list, it's my guess that it's Sleeping Beauty. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I did hear that theory that she was reading Sleeping Beauty during the whole "Oh, isn't this amazing? It's my favorite book, you see. Here's where she meets Prince Charming. But she won't discover that it's him 'til Chapter three" ((I so had to sing that in my head to get the lines right - and I think I might have misremembered a word or two. And that stanza gets reprised later as "New, and a bit alarming. Who would have thought this could be? True, that he's no Prince Charming. But there's something in him that I simply didn't see". No, no, I haven't memorized a few of BatB songs..))

Well, technically there is only two women the entire run of the show we know Kirk had sex with. The rest were more flirting affairs than anything but...
... Of all the Coris out there Felidae!Cori is possibly the /furthest/ from McCoy I would ever imagine. If I was going to cast anyone as McCoy it would be Cohen ((Whom Cori hates)). The two ways I would describe McCoy would be "Simple Country (Family) Doctor" and "Southern Gentleman." Cori's a Northern culture/tech elitist. They would strangle each other... McCoy's about being the ID, and passions. He's grumpy, but he teases and grins and tends to have the best expressions. Coricopat would prefer to have no expressions. I can't see Cori teasing Spock about his childhood or attempting to figure out the vulcan salute or any other number of things McCoy does. I'm sorry, McCoy is quite possibly my favorite fictional character of all time and he is just... so radically different from Coricopat.
Yeah, I don't think any of my Growltiger's gets a "Poor Growltiger." I'm not even sure the one on here does... bit too crazy and too much of a sexist jerk for me to feel much sympathy but hey.
Well, I figure one night after dealing with too many whiny nobles, Misto's gonna slap Tugger across the face and stalk off to cuddle with Cori the rest of the night. Tugger's just gonna blink and sorta go "Oh... I deserved that huh?" It will be a great moment. >.>
