Fishing in her purse for her room key as she did so, Tantomile walked briskly down the corridor. She'd just been out for lunch with Charles, and was feeling pleasantly relaxed; the turkish van seemed to have that effect on her.
Still she was ready to get back and relax for the afternoon, enjoying a day off from clients and feeling rather like she was on holiday. He uptown apartment was being redecorated, and rather than live in the chaos, Tantomile had decided the obvious solution would be to take a room at the Demoniaque.

Coricopat exited his own room, he'd been by to pick up a few things during his lunch break and was in a bit of a hurry to get back to the courthouse, he didn't even see his sister until he all but ran into her. He was in a decent mood and rather than snap, as was his typical habit, he murmured an excuse me and went to continue on his way.

Tantomile hadn't seen her brother since their last furious arguement at his house, that didn't mean she hadn't been keeping half an eye on his recovery, but this was certainly the first time she'd seen him in person.
She had been too busy looking for her key to see him until he knocked into her, the purse slipping from her hands as she did so, and several items rolling out. As she bent down to picke them up, Tantomile felt herself tense somewhat as Coricopat opened his mouth, expecting some snide remark, and was rather pleasantly surprised when there was none.
The mottled queen shook her head back at her brother, still collecting up the last of the items from her purse. "No harm done."

Coricopat had paused to help gather the items, picking up something and handing it to her before registering that it was his sister. "Tantomile?"

Tantomile straighted and accepted the item from him, slipping it back inside her purse. "Thank you Cori." she hadn't missed the question in his tone, but not feeling much like giving him any reson to irritation, didn't comment on that fact that he'd been too busy to notice who she was.

"Of course." He glanced toward the lift, "What are you doing here?"

"I've got decorators in at my apartment, staying here seemed decidedly more preferable than sleeping on the patients' couch in my office. But it means I'm still uptown and close to it." Tantomile explained, though her gaze followed his, concerned he might bolt, she added, "How've you been?"

"Hm? Oh, well enough." He was standing more heavily on his right side, his walking stick in his left hand and a suitcase in his right, though the case was slightly behind him.

Her eyes flicked over him, taking in her brother's apperance as he spoke. She noticed first the stick and then the case, biting back comments on both despite her curiosity, she didn't quite have a death wish where their relationship was concerned yet. "You certainly seem better," she settled on instead, "though aren't you normally at the courthouse this time of day?"

"I was just on my way back. I needed to pick up a few things."

Rather more than a few things if the case was anything to go by. "I see," she kept her tone light as she asked the next question, "are you intending on moving back home?"

"To my house? For a while." He replied.

"Well I can't imagine you moving back with mother and father somehow. May I ask why?" he had no reason to tell her, she was merely curious, but she supposed she had nothing to loose by asking.

He shrugged, "I'm paying to keep the utilities on, I might as well use it from time to time." The appearance of a small black dealer has nothing to do with it.

She nodded, "Fair enough." she didn't want to press the matter too much, but changed tack slightly, voicing something that had crossed her mind on numerous occasions, and the reason, she suspected, he mostly preferred the Demoniaque.
"It is an awfully large house for one cat to rattle about in." That was why she preferred her apartment, uptown so still beautiful and spacious and easily costing what she might have paid for a much larger house elsewhere, but small enough to feel comfortable when it was mostly just her living there.
