He hesitated a moment before leaning down and kissing her cheek lightly. "Take care." He straightened and slipped out of the store, heading back to the law firm.

Quickly, she managed to return the kiss to his cheek before watching him go. With a soft sigh she returned to the store, leaning her elbow against the counter and thinking on everything he'd told her--and what he hadn't quite.
