Taradan nodded, lighting up again and settling back a little more comfortably in the chair. He didn't need to say so, but he'd stick around again for a while.

"Well I guess that's what matters, you bein' the one readin' it." Taradan observed, he had never been much of a book lover himself. He fell silent for a long time, smoking the second cigarette down to the butt before he spoke again.
"You stayin' out of trouble everywhere else?"

Taradan sighed, mildly concerned about the kit. "Fancy a game of cards or somethin'?" he offered finally, maybe he could do more to take Ricky's mind off things than the book could.

The large cream tabby nodded, shifting himself from the chair and coming to sit across from his brother on the floor, producing a pack of cards from somewhere on his person.
"Put y'book down then an' see if y'can beat me."
