It would be on Tugger's mind anyway, that went without saying, in his opinion at least. He just didn't see what difference ignoring Mistoffelees would make whilst he came to a firm decision about how he felt. He worked in silence for a while, not having anything more to add on the subject at present.

Jerrie was more than content to work in silence. It wasn't that he minded the conversation, but more that he felt he got more done when he wasn't talking.
