"My sister's had a rough week an' a half, an' I'm havin' issues with an old friend, but that one's more somethin' t' let set." Jer admitted after a moment.

She nodded. "I wish your sister luck then," she said, shifting slightly. "And what possible problem would come up with an old friend?"

His ears flickered. "I'd...prefer not t' talk 'bout that." He was probably being mostly unreasonable, but he'd rather not deal with it at the moment.

The motion produced a small but genuine smile from her. "Good day," she murmured in reply, inclining her head.

Jerrie paused for just a moment longer before heading on his way to see if he could find some legitimate work. It really was nice running into her from time to time, though he usually left their conversations with more questions than he had originally.

She watched him go and sighed. She shouldn't have said anything, but she truly didn't want him involved. Hoping he found legitimate work about as much as he probably did, she turned on her own way, tail swaying behind her.
